To be fair, with how shot their nervous system is from fevers and such, crippling frostbite probably equates to drinking ice water with a mint in your mouth.

It looks like each "model" is about 8 nurglings, which by my calculations would equal out to 9,120 individual nurglings. Okoii's poor computer...
@@blaze0598 those 8 nurglings actually function as 1 model and also render as 1 model, so its basically the equivalent of any other unit with 60 models
@@demonicguard9539 I'm not familiar with the engine, but I'm not sure how that would work? Each nurgling appears to be it's own set rig which would mean it's own skinned renderer.. I guess It's possible they are all one rig which would certainly be interesting to have a look at..
@@MaMastoast If you look closely at their animations in this video, they're all on one rig. Even when you knock them away the nurglings in one "clump" do a canned flying away animation as as group. It's a tone of canned animations that are well blended to really make them feel like a bunch of individuals when they're actually just one character in terms of coding and whatnot.

so if there are 60 group of nurglings in a unit and there are ten nurglings an 'entity' you have 600 little plague bois every single unit, okoi has 19 units of the happy boys meaning he has 11400 nurglings every single fight and thats not mentioning the 'volunteer' nurglings helping the big cheese himself

My favorite thing about the Nurglings are how unique their animations are.
You can't convince me there is anything more precious in this universe.
So let's guesstimate and say there's about ten nurglings in each ball. 60 balls in each unit, 19 nurgling units in the army.
There are over eleven thousand nurglings onscreen.
Looking at the stat-block I don't understand how Okoii manages to win with so few losses. Like, their MA/MD isn't very high, this isn't a unit that got buffed into the stratosphere when you go all in. Do they just get a lot more attacks off given how many of them there are? Similarly statted mono-armies Okoii built in the past generally took a lot more casualties, is this just Lore of Nurgle + Regen doing HEAVY lifting?
I think Ku'gath Plaguedaddy Buffing, Debuffing & throwing little dudes is doing alot of to keep the Nurglings Tarpitting, I hear that the Lore of Nurgle is really good at regen which is what's allowing the Nurglings to stay alive & rack up kills over time
Kugath's Buffing and Debuffing of troops helps a bit but Nurglings just seem to beat wholesale ass in the tanking department, the stubborn little guys never seem to die, by the time i got Kugath's Nurgling buffs and regen they were essentially invincible, especially since every army i fought treated Kugath like a giant fat target and basically ignored the Nurglings.
@@Okoii Do you think it's because of how separate units of nurglings layer on top of one another much better than any other unit in the game, resulting in a better damage-split and more time for regen to work? Similarly for offense, is their high density resulting in more outgoing attacks than would be expected, once an enemy is surrounded?
@@BladePHF it’s may be how attacking units work. When something swings and hits more then one unit the damage is divided between the units hit, there is a cap. The burgling probably always make other troops hit this cap all the time with allows them to regenerate and not loose units
Animations, my friend. Sometimes the stat card means jack shit if the animations are better/worse than they seem. Take the White Lions of Chrace and the Tomb Scorpion for example, their stat cards don't mean anything because their animations are terrible in the case of White Lions and OP in the case of the Tomb Scorpion.
You can tell that they had a lot of fun making the Daemon factions, even more fun making the Nurgle units and a total day in the park making Nurglings.
