      That is so realistic. They don’t care about the good things but are too busy doing street fighter releases although the stuff they have locked in their vault is awesome.
      I even made an OC for rival schools (and street fighter due to them being in the same universe) named Alex Jones. He is a student at pacific high and is the number one fan of Ibiki. He attended the school whilst Roy (who was a member of pacific HS himself) was president of the US. He uses a mixture of judo and karate (along with some aura manipulation put in there) and only fights to protect his friends and loved ones ( just like Goman but without the religious side). He is a kind and compassionate kid who is really eager to learn more about Japanese culture (unlike Roy when he went to high school).

      Concerning Bloody Roar the worst entry in the series BR4 has as a mode this customization mode where you select a character on the roster and go around winning various fights to get DNA points in order to unlock new moves and abilities for your customizable character and before you say BR4 has a CaZ mode a Create-A-Zoanthrope Mode nope BR4 does not have a Character Creation Mode the customizable character is a established character on the roster, and to pour even more salt on the wound this mode is the only way to unlock Long, Shina, Uranus, Khoryu, and Dragon Ryoho as playable characters and they each cost a ridiculously high number of DNA Points to unlock with Long, Shina, Uranus, Khoryu costing around 500,000 DNA Points to unlock as playable characters, and Dragon Ryoho costing around 1,000,000,000 DNA Points to unlock as a playable character, now if it was just Uranus, Khoryu, and Dragon Ryoho being the only unlockable characters this wouldn't be so bad as ever since BR3 Khoryu, and Uranus have been unlockable characters, and Dragon Ryoho is BR4's final boss it makes since that he's a unlockable character that takes a lot of effort to unlock, but to cut Long, and Shina two fan-favorite protagonists who have been series mainstays since the first 2 games from the base roster only to make them unlockable by earning and spending 500,000 DNA Points in what should've been a fully-fleshed out Character Creation Mode is BS on every level.

Not good reasons, but with countries going into wars all the time, and resentful feeling that people cannot direct properly, xenophobia becomes terribly common. I still have my copy of the US PS release, though if I were to tell a friend to buy a copy I would advise them to at least get the evolution disc if it was a choice between one or the other. The franchise deserved so much better than what they got. I would at least advise an HD remake of the first game if not just merging all the games somehow as one continuous story. Heck, they already have a script, just refine it a little and animate the cutscenes. Also in the case of the original game, the gameplay really does make the game despite how outdated the graphics are. Hell I bought the Kanzuki Beach stage because Tiffany and Hinta were in the background, I didn't care if they were swimsuits they could've been fully dressed for all I care, I just wanted to see them again.

    One sad thing I regret to this day was when I saw Rival Schools in arcades, it was on the big setup(for people in the know remembers it was the big ass screen with the big platform setup for the stick/buttons. I saw it and felt so intimidated by it as a kid so I passed it up. It wasn't until console release that a friend of mine(that one friend people had whose parents bought them all the games) introduced me to it. The console opening still has a special place in my heart because I remember how magical it felt to see that for the first time.

    I really loved this series, and was so happy I got to play both of the English titles in arcades. The latter one... I think I played not too long ago, not even a couple or so years back. It's always nice to see old classics in a lively arcade. Had good memories of playing Shoma and Natsu. Was never actually good at the games, having them eat my quarters nonstop, but I had fun with the characters and loved the level of story that I didn't get much out of from other arcade games I'd get to play outside of maybe the House of the Dead titles. Really nostalgic feelings... Super glad to hear Akira getting that love, and opening up so many doors for things to come.

    Capcom also did another fighting game with branching stories depending on how you play. Tech Romancer. We should also have that back too. Every story path played out like a Saturday Morning or after school anime show. Fantastic presentation and a mech for every kind of mech or cyber type fan. Great IP's that Capcom just abandons because they go easy mode and just keep using Street Fighter, using a name to make the big money. Cuz yeah, Capcom has a problem understanding how nostalgia and a versatile portfolio works.

    • @Sorain1
      @Sorain1 Před 2 lety +1

      Tech Romancer was amazing, the fact they wrote entirely different genre's of plot based on which character you played as, then fit each other character into a role in that story? Bloody brilliant. Heck, two different pilots on the same mech? Completely different tone of story. (It was the gundam expy, where one was a very ZZ Gundam style romp and the other a Zeta Gundam style tragedy.) From classic super robot show plots to a serious war drama with an ensemble cast for the big stompy military robot that couldn't jump. (With only one crew member surviving to bury the rest in the GOOD ending.) I really wish we could get a modern take on that game.

    • @Bangcat
      @Bangcat Před 2 lety +1

      @@Sorain1 A character for just about every anime mech type. More standard Gundam story you had Dixon, but yeah the other back and forth swapping one was like some of the others. They even covered the not entirely mech ones like alien body type anime like ultra man, and even had a junk bot in there. There was just so many things well done with it and it deserves to be on a fighting game collection. We'll just about never see a sequel out of Capcom for something that was so different, content packed, and over all just brilliantly well done and told in stories for such a presentation to come together, but would be great to have it again in some form.
