Can this be installed on a Legends Ultimate, Legends Gamer or Legends Gamer Mini? Or do those PCBs not support an analog input like the Legends Pinball and Legends Pinball Micro?
@Brian Walstad I am working on a universal type mounting system so it would work in that regard if you have the space. It works as a simple on/off switch so it could replace any type of microswitch or on off button. It would not work for something that needs a variable type input. I do not own a Legends ultimate but if you are simply replacing or adding a button this would work.
Need to do a backbox mod like buystuff did for the regular size at games pinball machine. Seems like the micro's backbox screen is really small.
I just got one of these for a great price and it's pretty impressive tech for the money. Going to look into the plunger action. Love this machine. Thanks for the video and thanks to who made the plunger as an option. Appreciate the passion!
I love Idaho 3D Printing. I have their pinball cup holders, VIBS board brackets, and Atgames DMD bracket.
They do great work!
I like the way you left in the stress part. Everyone always leaves that out and it’s always a step.
Thank you
Super cool mod and it actually seems pretty reasonably priced. I'm impressed that the plunger can actually sense how far back it's pulled. I don't have a Micro, but if I did I would definitely be interested in this.
Thanks Scott!
Brilliant tutorial. Idaho Printing Companies tutorial was a bit confusing. Thanks PDUBS❤🏁
Oh hey thank you
@@PDubsArcadeLoft ❤️
Great and helpful video PDubs, thank you Sir!
Thank you
Buying one for my virtual pinball machine i made already. Currently using a button there so hoping this will work just fine with it :)
Let me know how it goes!
Very cool mod Dubs!
Thank you
Great detailed install video! I had already installed mine using the less detailed video available from the creator and noted that yours covered some items that confused me:
(1) the tabs on the switch connectors. I'm familiar with slide-on friction fit connectors, but these have little tabs that must be depressed to unlock the connection!
(2) disconnecting the monitor cabling. This was not detailed in the creator video. I ended up just tilting the monitor open (like on a real pinball table or like a car hood) which provided sufficient space to do the install without disconnecting the monitor cabling.
(3) I was also afraid to try to slide the monitor out from under the back box, so removed that as well.
And totally agree - this is a must have! What's a pinball machine without a plunger?
Thank you Wade! I tried to fill in some blanks from their video and glad you noticed. Plunger Time!
Thank you for the detailed suggestions and feedback. I received your message on my website but didn’t have a chance to respond yet. I will make sure and add the install tips to the description.
@@idaho3dprintingdesign376 It's a terrific addition to the Pinball Micro and you've done a wonderful job of packaging it up at a great price. Hope my tips are helpful to others who, like me, are new to the technologies (connectors, switches, etc.) inside the Micro. Everyone with a Micro should pick up a plunger 🙂!
What would be the easiest base mapping for the plunger? Just set it to 'down' (in JoyToKey or other method) and map in pinball options as needed?
PDubs,
Is the plunger as smooth as the one that comes on the bigger AtGames Legends Pinball, or possibly a commercial Stern? JUST KIDDING :D
Thank you for showing this! I don't own the Micro, but I think AtGames may have struck gold with this little guy and it can give them ideas for a possible gen 2, maybe including a plunger, preinstalled vibs, legs, etc.).
It looks like this plunger gets the job done, but I think the smoothness might need some tweaking (though, that would be a job for the creator). Good first attempt by the seller making a 3rd Party modification.
vgv
Nah not as smooth lol
Hey Pdubs, I added a pinball "Launch Ball" button to the front right side of my ALU control panel and wired it into the A button via a daisy chain connecton. It it works excellent and it lights up! What is the installed length of this plunger inside? I'd love to have a real plunger!!
Maybe 5"?
amazing, are there any third party mods that add a stick and top buttons to the control panel ?
Nope
I did the 3d printed mod that uses a button housing and spring, with a 3 prong micro switch. This mod simply sets the microswitch to off when pressed and ON when depressed.. So when you pull back the plunger its effectively the same as pressing the button.. Does THIS plunger you test here work in the same way.. or can it somehow match your pull 1 to 1 like a real game plunger ?
It’s just an on / off
Did you switch out the flipper buttons with goldleaf flipper buttons?
On this machine no. On the larger one yes
Loved this mod, super worth $50. And so easy to install it, Mrs Kongs-R-Us was able to do it without Instructions too!
Gotta Rock a Plunger!
My plunger broke on my ALP. The large pinball machine. Would this work as replacement.?
I honestly can't say for sure. I keep thinking the larger machine the flipper button is further back and this plunger might not be long enough, and the wires long enough
@@PDubsArcadeLoft thanks for the quick reply and everything you do for the community. You are the best !!!
hi is this plunger worh with vpx etc... if u plug a pc to the micro ??
Not really because it acts more like a button press versus a true plunger
Cool❤🎉
Thank you
Make sure you twist your nut slowly. If you twist too fast and hurt yourself, there's no unringing that bell!
Lol very funny
Dang, just on/off not variable.
Glad i wasn't the only one that worked out its only a magnet switch lol everyone in the comments don't realize its on or off and thats it.
Well, isn't the original Button also just an on off one?
@@gjms on the full size ALP its a realistic sensor that tracks how far you pull the plunger. An on/off/momentary button can work but not going to give the same feel.
Price is now €65.18 on Feb. 2024. 😥
Appreciate the update
