Buddy Guy celebrates his 77th birthday with Gary Clark Jr. and Quinn Sullivan at Iridium Jazz Club in New York City on July 29th, 2013. Help me - paypal.me/mikhail196
Karen, Just tonight,I watched this show on TV. Buddy is one of my heroes and seeing what he's been doing with Quin Sullivan is amazing. WOW!! What a night I'm having with all this wonderful blues. I don't think that age will ever slow Buddy down. I'm only a few years behind him - so you can imagine how much I appreciate all these great performers.
Thank you for posting this...I had this on another phone that I lost and just now trying to remember all of my favorites and this is one of those ! Gary Clark Jr is so Frickin Good ! But this Trio here is above and beyond Amazing ! Love it .
YES! It amazes me that a 14 year old can play with such soul and emotion. Most players don't even feel that level of passion until their in their 20's, at least. The kid's vibrato is so good that it sounds like he was working on that longer than 14 years.
Yeah it's amazing of buddy guy. I have so much respect for him. Quinn(the young guy) was taken to a buddy guy concert at a super young age by his father and he took his guitar woth him and buddy pulled him up on stage and quinn shredded at like the age of 8(if I remember correctly) either way he's been touring with buddy guy since. It's a super cool story. Right place, right time, right talent.
If there were more of Buddy Guy, maybe the world would looking different. Destiny and soul works together. God Bless You Both. Old and young, what’s the different when the souls are the same. I hope those young boys never start using drugs.
In all my 68 years of living the life of a blues man I've never seen someone PASS the Torch so elegantly. See there is no age race or Ethnicity to the "Blues".j.w.

He wasn't some random kid. Trust me, as a performer lots of kids can get in bars. Underage comedian frequently perform in adult clubs even. As for Quinn, he's there because he's mentored by buddy guy. At like the age of 8 he was taken to a buddy guy concert by his father. He took along his guitar and at some point buddy pulled him up on stage just to byle nice but he didn't realize that he was basically a prodigy and the kid shredder. Long story short he's been touring with buddy guy since.
Buddy Guy is so awesome, he always bring the younger generation on to jam with them. What a legend and teacher.
ain`t that the truth!!!!
Just beautiful, loved it all. And Buddy's older, still great and it was his birthday, give him a break. Looked like he really enjoyed it.

Impromptu jams are the best! Just free flowing melody to a funk beat.
