If the ending wasn't rushed, the creators would've made it a lot better probably.
Or maybe let it end at season 2 after defeating toffee. Could have used the Gravity Fall treatment and end it at its high. Was a shame how it went down hill so quick in season 3

Like literally the cat said star magic is just like eclipsa but what i have seen later on it didn’t foreshadow a lot about it which seemed it was a waste of writing
the part that hurts most is that it feels rushed but wasnt, it was planned to be like this from square one and that KILLS me. it feels like it got cancelled and they had to rush story but nothing like that happened whatsoever, creator confirmed this a few times💀
It was probably a little rushed, but DANG it was executed so well at the very tail end.
Reminder; Mina and Meteora both caused more damage than Toffee did but they both got off scot-free.
Toffee was the only villain who’s ideology ended up being right, and he was killed for it.
Meteora got off scot-free because she got turned back into a baby

It’s probably something that was just tradition at that point.
That’s probably the point. The first thing to teach your kid before giving them a bomb, teach them to defuse it in case it’s about to end up in the wrong hands.

I already had a perfect idea tbh.
The creator did confirm in a Q&A that only mewman magic was affected, even mentioned Tom's powers were unaffected.
Which would include his ability to hop dimensions *Hekapoo only CONTROLLED it, could shut it off at will and gave people scissors to travel. The scissors wouldn't work, but tom's natural power.. Yeah not so much*
Then I remember.. Star became MAGIC during the Battle for Mewni finale, so if they did continue the series...
They could have it show the consequences of destroying mewman magic.
1. Monsters would begin to take over places on the combined world *That one DOUCHE monster who took ownership of one family's home, who's to say the house didn't merge with some on earth and he be all the house is mine and leave.*
2. Magic that was used to prevent or harm certain monsters would slowly reverse without magic to sustain it *Dead Septarians return*, Toffee regenerates, etc.
3. Certain humans hating monsters even more, Miss Skullnick reverts back to being human much like the Laser Puppies losing their lasers. *A total BS thing by the creators ngl.*
4. Mewni corn no longer having that "spark" that made it taste better than earth corn *Monsters and Mewmens would definitely HATE star for that*
5. Star slowly falling apart bit by bit, as the magic that makes up her current body begins to disappear.
At first star would refuse to reverse things, until some Anti Monster group comprised of Humans with earth weapons come to attack the main castle. Globgor possibly being wounded to a point that would normally be healed with magic... But is severe enough that nothing BUT magic could save him.
At this point everyone is like "Why did you destroy magic, there had to be another way."
Then maybe do a whole time reverse thing, using Tom to use his dimensional hopping power to enter Father Time's domain and have him run on the wheel BACKWARDS.
Only this time without the wand Father Time has to give them something to make them IMMUNE to the wheel of time. *Those Medallions for example*.
Also prevents paradoxes from happening, or maybe it doesn't so the group has to stop each other from doing set things.

TLDR: Metera didn’t need to die her turning into a baby was the perfect ending for her. She’s the literal definition of a product of her environment and behaved as such as she did not deserve what King Shastican, the magical high commission, the robot nanny and Mewni as a whole did to her as she grow up. Eclipsa gets a chance to actually be a mother, and Meteroa gets a chance to be raised by her birth parents.

With Meteora you have to take into account how she was raised and what the magic high commission did to her by getting rid of her, wiping her out of history and giving her to a crazy robot nanny who literally named her heinous because her father called her that. I can’t blame her for turning out how she did when she was raised by an emotionless piece of metal that forced her to suppress who she is and called a majority of her traits flaws. Imagine how she felt when she found out who her mother actually was and that’s she’s actually a butterfly, based off everything else it makes since she would go on an angry rampage. Also, Eclipsa was under the full impression that she was and had killed meteora with her spell, it just so happens that she had turned into a baby. Which in a way is a rebirth for her and I think is the perfect ending for her. She restarts with her actual mother and father, and Eclipsa gets to actually be a mother to her daughter and have her back. Sure her actions were never forgotten, but I don’t think anyone in Mewni (Specifically the Butterfly family and the magic high commission) has any leg to stand on because of what they did.
imo it was kinda lazy. having meteora stay as she was and work towards a better life while learning about her heritage and rekindling with her family, getting the love she never got as a kid, would've been much more interesting and it really felt turning her into a baby was a lazy way to "redeem" her without making her work through stuff on her own. it really was wasted potential
and tbh her going on a rampage to get the throne doesn't even make sense to me. sure she's always been unhinged but she was more a cartoon villain in a literal sense, having beef with a teenager rather than being an actual threat. having her be a major villain was kinda out of line
@@someonewhocantmakeuptheirm2671 I think it's less about redeeming her and more about giving her a second chance at a life they (her family) should have had. So I am fine with that, maybe if they ever decide on a continuation it can be about her and having to make amends with her past life.

Man, the designs for the wand were so creative. A shame they were wasted on this garbage writing. Let's all be real, the show became pure shit when they decided to do a racism metaphor using monsters as their stand-in for non-white folk. And also they spent multiple seasons teasing the obvious endgame ship when they could've, I dunno, not doddled around and just written a healthy teenage romance? God, they treated the fun big bad as a joke, replaced him with a suave but ultimately dull big bad (seriously, Toffee barely did anything before his original death, he had no bigger point to him other than his at-the-time unwarranted hatred for Star's family), and then killed that dude off so they could spend the rest of the series doing literally nothing. Worst fall from grace ever.
Not to mention destroying the magic that costed lives over all dimensions

While Skullnick didn't revert to being human, despite being affected by magic in similar manner.
Another... The Spells dying as mentioned above, while the Laser Puppies who were also a SPELL were spared from the fate.
They should've stopped at season 2.... Oh well, at least we got the past Queens helps star scene. The only scene I actually liked...

He’s not. Anyone can gain the cheek marks once they get ahold of the wand. And if they had it long enough it becomes permanent. The first queen of mewni was a normal person, Festivia was a peasant girl and still got the cheek marks and so did everyone after her. It’s more of a side effect of the wand

The clips where Star needed to charge her wand really made me miss the early season dynamics that the characters had. How organized Marco it and how patient but weirded out he is by Star. How star is chaotic but still carefull with keeping her mess on her side while still being all over the place. The bouncy look ofthe animation :D I left the show before finishing it but it still feels nostalgic
