  • I visited Europa Park in Germany in 2001 with the European Coaster Club (ECC) and on that trip the park staff took us on a tour of the coasters. Euro Mir is a unique steel spinning coaster from Mack (the Mack family own and run the park) which features an extensive enclosed spiral lifthill, and then something that resembles an overgrown and out of control wild mouse on the outside, offering some great views of the park, and of the other riders as the cars rotate at certain parts of the track. It's a fun coaster in a wonderful theme park. It's analogue footage and breaks up a little in places but I hope you still enjoy it!

    Looks like you got two POVs of the outside section. Looks like a great ride! Thanks for posting.

      Yes, two separate rides edited together to ensure between them you had a forward POV of all the outside track

    Thank you so much for sharing this video! Since 20 years I was searching for a video where you can hear the music playing in the Q-line from 1997 to 2003. Unfortunately they removed this music in 2003... If anyone knows the name of the music, please let me know...

    1:40 this is the only reason why I love Euromir at the moment.

      Do you mean the lifthill? What's wrong with it now then?

    Is there any chance you could please upload an uncut version of the queue scene at 0:23? I've been looking for that particular song for ages, it's nowhere to be found and I'm so extremely desperate to listen to it. 😥

    A spiral lift hill is definitely a cool way to save space when building a roller coaster.
    Did the cars lock up when you went down the first big hill? You were pointing at he people behind you the whole time so I assume the cars stopped spinning at that point.

    • @davidjellis
      @davidjellis  Před 3 lety

      There are fixed points where the cars lock in position to avoid people going down hills sideways

      I think the roughness is part of the Euro Mir experience😁
