She wasn’t being held back by her partner, it was a joint decision to be creepy. I understand that she does not work with him anymore, but she does explain in a interview that the not talking thing was an artistic choice

I think it was part of the script, that was the poppy project to make poppy seem like she was AI or Illuminati puppet. I don't think you can really take any of the interviews or the sketches as proof of any abuse. I'm not saying that she was not though but I can say I suspect not, I think both poppy and titanic was busy enough abusing mars.

Of course she still could be uncomfortable, but that was the deal they had with each other. She has said it was a collaboration, this is her part. I believe the current Poppy style is what Moriah was aiming for before creating this persona. Idk, if you watch her old videos from the past you can tell she had a more edgy style back in the day. So even though my opinion is probably unpopular I personally don't think this is a forced rebrand post-lawsuit or for the storyline of her character, I just think Poppy is finally creating the music she has always wanted to. You can tell she seems happier making this kind of music and now that she is away from Titanic.

It is uncertain if Poppy would have received exposure without the Titanic project and all the publicity it recieved. After doing all those creepy little morbid videos which received an awful lot of publicity, she moved onto something else in a certain stage of her life. She seems very much a long term thinker and her career can only be examined all things included. This heavy sound is a separate project. This won't last forever either, it will change, and a line will be drawn in her old work, and then she'll do something different again.

I thought Poppy was an interesting concept back when she interacted with kids react. Then I forgot who she was. Then I recently saw her live performance of Bloodmoney at Reading and I became a total fan and was blown away to realize it was her because I thought it was some new artist. She has transformed and I love it. I hope she continues to embrace her metal side.

Well the "first poppy" was a blatant copy of mars argo, so obviously the "new poppy" is much better because it is the real her.
If anyone has noticed. She has removed all of Titanics Pics from IG over the last month. And she also has removed his Directors credit off quite a few of the video on her channel (like her Cotton Candy) and her last two music videos. I'm thinking her and Titanic Sinclair probably going their separate ways but they're doing it very quietly. Since she's attached to such a powerful record company now, I don't think he'll be able to come after her the way he did Mars Argo.

I discovered her music around the time that "Am I A Girl?" came out and I immediately became obsessed. I watched the premiere for 'Concrete' and 'I Disagree' and waited so long for her to release the rest of the album. I kind of drifted away from her music, but rediscovering I realize how much she's grown and how unique she is as an artist.
It's important to remember that the change also coincides with her leaving Titanic (as a business and romantic partner). It really explains why she seems so much happier when you know that it was an abusive relationship- not so 50/50 as she described

She's a parody of pop stars controlled by record labels and Titanic is a parody of the man behind the camera directors, script writers, and managers. She's now starting the stage where pop stars transition to a different genre ans it's brilliant

Well it is a very risky thing to do as an artist because you lose a large part of the fans that made you popular to begin with. I, for example, used to be a devoted fan buying every song and tickets to her shows and marchandise but now that she doesn’t make music in a style I like, it’s kinda like if she had died to me as I can’t enjoy the music style that made me love her. And with metal being without a doubt a lot less popular and accessible than pop, she definitely lost a lot of fan and has to start anew.
She changed her style because she left titanic and is doing something she likes. Titanic was the one controlling her and abusing her just like Mars Argo. And her voice is getting more human like.

Based on your newer video about the Poppy story, which I watched before this, I feel like Poppy is still lost in the Hollywood dream. The new look is a polar opposite - yet... in a strange way, it's still attached to her old persona, because she's actively running from it; intangibly affected by it. Situations like that don't just turn to ash. We love you, Poppy.

Mars only won against Titanic's slander and abuse case but not with the copyright infringement on Poppy since the "tumblr" aesthetic ya'll claim mars had was already being done by melanie martinez, halsey etc. Poppy just wanted to really change it up, they could've kept making songs like the ones from bubblebath but decided to go j-pop-ish, and mars was never j-pop, Mars had a Marc de Marco feel to her. Poppy did cover a marc de marco song but still Mars cannot claim ownership over a style. If you look through the case she filed all of them were just aesthetics and jabs at her forced by titanic

I feel as if poppy has been freed from being a “doll” and constantly being “forced” to say “I’m Poppy”. Her boss was clearly a control freak and she is just living her dream. She’s much happier by herself and being more independent. She really is Poppy.

Everyone assumed that Poppy was always just Titanic's puppet, specially since he made similar videos to the early Poppy stuff with a different girl before he met her, but if you watch them being interviewed together it honestly seems like Poppy is the one that really gets the character and what they're trying to do. I think Poppy is actually the more intelligent and creative of the two but neither of them realized it for most of their time together. Titanic seems to me like kind of guy you get stuck talking to at parties that thinks they are way more intelligent and insightful than they really are, just a pretentious bore. There was a definite change halfway through making her second album where Poppy took more creative control and moved away from parody pop into something more interesting. Poppy has a clear vision and is a strong performer, she's always been the one with the real talent in that partnership I think.
Will be very interesting to see where Poppy goes from here now she's split with Titanic, personally I'm way excited for her future projects than whatever Titanic is going to do.
Jam Dev she’s a strong performer in videos, but definitely not on stage. At least not yet. It worked for her in her pop/j-pop says, but with the harder sound she’s going for now she just seems... absent. Not as confident on stage. But I’m sure she’ll find her footing :)

I think the lawsuit pushed her to give a big fuck you giving Titanic all of the credit. The evidence was there showing what he "contributed" and it made her look like a fool. She had to go extreme to prove she was an artist and not just his puppet. Titanic also fucks up by getting romantically involved on projects so when things end they completely end.
