CRAZY Spider & Insect Behaviors During the Solar Eclipse
Vložit
- čas přidán 3. 04. 2024
- Solar Eclipses are few and far between and we have heard a lot about how different animals may behave during the totality. But no one really discusses how spiders and other arachnids and insects may act once the moon has blocked the sun, plunging their environment into night in the middle of the day. Today we are going to discuss what strange behaviors you may witness from tarantulas, spiders, and many other arachnids, insects and invertebrates during the solar eclipse of 2024.

Nice! I love these documentaries! I’ve tried to do this on my channel but yours are literally amazing! Congrats - amazing video! 😊
Bees making a different noise during an eclipse is interesting. I wonder the purpose of it and if they're feeling worry or fear. Inscet behavior is a fascinating study.
Listening to this in the background, while I feed my spiders.
Now this is something I never thought about regarding insects and spiders. :O Thank you so much Richard!
Cool.
Hope everyone got their eclipse glasses. northeast PA should get about 95% totality this time.
Nailed it! 😂
@tarantulacollective, the music was so loud/quiet/horrible/distracting, that I now believe invertebrates will take over the world during the eclipse and become our benevolent overlords. Just kidding, thanks for all the interesting videos you do. You cover a lot of things like this that are not readily available anywhere else.
It's crazy how animals react to this phenomenon. And us humans just find it fascinating. Oh what crazy world. Love your videos keep up the hard work.
I find your channel completely fascinating. Thanks man!
Glad you enjoy it!
Hi Richard! Hope you're well.
I am well, thank you. Hope youre doing well also!
My tarantulas move around when the souler eclipse happens
Hello great video information Richard
Hey, thanks
Mate, as far as I'm concerned this is your best content yet- your already amazing standards just got totally blown away by this vid! Really excited to see what else you've got in the pipeline mate. Superlative. Bravo.
Dang Rich amazing video, like seriously blew my mind. I never even gave thought to the topic. Beautiful shots as always. Thank you
Thanks so much for watching! Glad you found it interesting
This is sooo interesting!!
Super interesting
Luv your nature vids Richard ...
WOW another fantastic video Richard, you always know how to create marvellous content. Thank you 🇬🇧😎
during the eclipse i noticed my Ts (simultaneously) came out of their burrows and started wandering around their enclosures. it was weird
Oh that's so cool to have the opportunity to be involved in citizen scientists in these areas ❤
This was actually very interesting
This was incredibly interesting. I never considered the shift in behaviors during an eclipse. Thanks for the awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome background music! 😄🎶🎶 Isn't it wonderful how music can completely set s mood?? Wonderful video Richard!
Thanks so much. I agree completely and probably spend way to much time finding and mixing music.
I'm solar powered too, guess that's why I have tarantulas 🙂I'm sensitive to temps and light as well. I hate winter and the shorter days!!! Come on summer!!!!! 🙂 Excellent video Richard!!
Very interesting that a lot of the changed behaviours only happen during totality. So I wonder if those species still behave normally during partial eclipses, since the moon won't completely block the sun. Really cool video!
I'm in South Central Kentucky so we will see how mine act. The one we had in 17 I couldn't tell you what they did because I was at work. That said,I've got a few Cyriopagopus albostriatus and an omothymus schioedtei that sit out no matter what. All different hours.
3 of my tarantulas molted on eclipse
My town is on the path of totality
In 40 years i will connect my ants to a sound picking up machine and listern to them
I have similar but with full moon. Drapes can be down and I can't sleep
Hi Richard
When you say feed a tarantula 6-8 or crickets every other week or something like that are those 6-8 all in one meal or spread out across the week?
Have you done any videos on the phormicticus species?
I just got a sp. Purple and would have loved to found one from you or T-Kat. But only found one from Tom Moran.
Hello
I have some concerns about my tarantulas and some questions
Is there anyway i could “text you”?
Please can someone shed light on my tarantula problem.
My juvenile female suntiger molted 6 weeks ago.....all good...then 2 weeks later she's missing 2 front legs, and recently a back one has gone.....I just don't understand what's happening..
Had a question which leaf litter would you recommend from the biodude? Does it matter which type for tarantulas?
Nope. I use them all. The love oak is probably what I use the most.
I did have a look at the biodude
I have ants and praying mantissas. What acnid should i get first?
Thank you for not doing that laugh at the end. It makes me physically cringe.
🚨I’m concerned about these two species of tarantulas. Are people mislabeling the mexican jade fuego for the green bottle blue on purpose to make a quick buck?🚨
😳😊😳😊😳
First
Nope, I was!
@@chloewright1NO I WAS!!!!!!
Music ruined the video
