    • @aware2action
      @aware2action Před 6 dny +2

      It would undercut the adoption of Robotaxi🤔. Robotaxi would be a big investment(not the vanilla FSD with underpowered sensor stack and outdated inference engine). It might even be possible the inference engine in Robotaxi migh use blackwell NPUs from NVidia for onboard training as well🤞. While the low cost Model2 will be cost reduced, eqipped with a crippled FSD cpu,serving barely, the need for an enhanced AP. It will further reduce the profit margin neverthless. Tesla already has the manufacturing innovation (gigapress?) needed. They don't need further design innovation. They just need to cutdown unwanted(FSD/AP?) hardware, throw in a cheaper and better LFP and call it done. But will never happen, since no one wants to shoot themselves in the foot🤔

    • @mikenielsen3971
      @mikenielsen3971 Před 5 dny

      Well, to get to the necessary cost level to make that Model 2... required innovation (development). The Cybertruck introduced much tech that laid groundwork (48v, Etherloop as examples for that remaining innovation but still need further implementation. It isn't just that Tesla could just product that Model 2 now. They are already not waiting for the unboxed manufacturing process so we are getting faster than if that too was used for cost savings.

    • @CS-kk4tm
      @CS-kk4tm Před 3 dny +1

      lol. that doesn't make sense. the exposure of the masses to an EV will come through Robotaxi, not by consumers purchasing their own EV. the future is not owning a car. it's an app to get a ride anywhere, anytime, without a driver. robotaxi accomplishes much more than most people realize and it disrupts other industries simultaneously. if you wait for consumer's to be able to purchase their own EV it will take decades for a measurable change to be seen in the market. if you push millions into the market via an autonomous taxi network you can see real change within 5 years. the robotaxi idea isn't stupid. stop thinking you're smarter than everyone who's working to make that idea a reality. Robotaxi is the the final nail in the coffin of all other auto makers. THEN, Tesla can focus on delivering quality EV's to consumers who want/need to own their own. This is a race. It's not about your stupid model Y, or model 2 personal desires. It's about eviscerating the traditional automakers, blitzing the market, ripping the eyes out of Uber, Lyft, Traditional Taxis, and capturing massive amounts of autonomous robo data to use in the fleet of Robotaxi and Optimus. think bigger.

    Tesla is Cool and all but RoboTaxi will be a cost failure in the end... Americans will trash those things.. Its like those paid green/red electric scooter things in SF and Sacramento. I saw a couple thrown over the Pier 31 and a few at the Sacramento River..
    Bring RoboTaxi to Japan and it will thrive well! Them Japanese know how to respect things and maybe it'll be good in South Korea too..

    Australia has no import duties on chinese EV's, so you would expect the prices to be cheap as.... But not so. The cheapest is AU$35k, compared to the cheapest Tesla at AU$55k. Cheap sounds good, but, when you compare these chinese car prices to the prices in china, they are 2 to 3 times more, meaning that they are price gouging Aussies and UK customers too. Don't be fooled to thinking you will be saving money, because you won't.

    The excitement is gone from Tesla. There was once anticipation about the new Model Y, but now does anyone really know "what's up with that"? .it looks like the Juniper Y will come to the US after the RoboTaxi has become another of their failed ideas. (Does anyone think the Cybertruck can be called a success?..and, who is dumb enough to buy the current Model Y or even the Model S? ) Tesla's products remind me of Commodore Computers...old and out of date. If help from the government is unfair then the US government bailing out GM was unfair to China. GM sales in China went up one million units per year each year after the government bailout and Buick was a top brand in China for years. China did not complain that GM had been helped by the US government.

    The Cyber Truck is a disaster. If Tesla made a traditional truck based on the model X it would have been a huge success. Who wants a truck and why. people want a truck to haul/tow. A cab with a box behind it. Elon has had great vision and success but he messed up on this. I tried liking the Cyber truck but no I can’t honestly say I like it even a little bit. Rival got it right. Btw I own a model 3 and love the styling. I also love the model S Y and X. Love my full size truck because it does truck things well.
