China's Bomber Faces Foreign Jet at 50M? Young Pilot Shouts ‘Not Afraid to Die!’Report Full of Holes

- Just a couple of days ago, China Central Television (CCTV) reported that a pilot of the People's Liberation Army (PLA’s) Air Force Yuan Siyu conducted a long-range training mission with an H-6 twin-engine jet bomber. As soon as he broke through the clouds, he encountered a foreign fighter jet. At their closest, the planes were just 50 meters apart. Unfazed, Yuan engaged with the foreign jet for an entire hour, eventually forcing it to retreat.

The bomber pilot thinks he can win against a fighter jet? How? I don't think being a smoking crater in the ground counts as a win.
Exactly. No logic at all in his statement.
H6 is no different than a civilian transport in terms of air-to-air engagement. So what he said made no sense.
Not to worry. The Party will come up with something to spin it as a victory for the Motherland. Wait, it is already in the Chinese Handbook of Propaganda.

The F-16 (commissioned 50 years ago)is operated by 11 countries and over 4500 Planes build.
Compare that to the J-10's (Commissioned 26 years ago) 2 operating countries and around 590 build Planes.
This clearly shows how great that Chinese "Plane" is, if no one wants to buy it.
And just to add some salt to the wound of the CCP shills:
The F-35 (commissioned 9 years ago) is operated by 10 countries, with another 10 planing or currently in the progress of buying it. Until now over 3000 F-35's have been build.
The F16’s appearance created brown pants out of the tofu green PLAAF uniforms in that bomber.

chinese PLA useless bravado !
This History needs to be told more. It says a lot, the CCP hasn't change and still thinks this way is efficient.
In the battle of Kapyong, in the Korean War, Chinese soldiers attacked Australian and Canadian dug-in entrenched location with interlocking fire. The Chinese outnumbered the Australians and Canadians 10:1. Incredibly, the Chinese attacked in waves while not applying freindly fire support from artillery and mortars, when running into the interlocking Australian and Canadian fire. It appears that when invading Korea, the PLA did not include artillery units with their soldiers. Additionally, scything down the Chinese was accurate supporting battery fire to the Australians and Canadians from New Zeland artillery units. In the attack which lasted all night, only one Australian trench was taken, which was later regained when the Chinese retreated, yes retreated. In fighting the Korean War the Chinese did not deploy modern and professional methods in attacking some of the best trained military professionals having extensive World War 2 battlefield experience, and consequently their casualties were very high and the true casualty figures were supressed by the CCP. The modern PLA mentality is the same; stupidity push their poorly trained soldiers into a meat grinder than banally claim martyrs success. I'm amazed that such a base exploitative system has lasted the test of time.

Chinese peacekeepers in South Sudan ran away scared when they were needed to protect. cowards.
Chinese human wave tactics might have some effect during the Korean War. Marines and Soldiers at the Chosin Reservoir were stacking bodies like cords of wood. While aircraft bombed and strafed the PLA positions.
For China, this is about saving face and boosting the morale of their military and their people.
Yes except now we have counterswarm weapons. That's the big difference. The same CCP swarm won't work this time.
The PLA performed masterfully at Chosin Reservoir... as sandbags.
A bomber jet by its self? In enemy territory? And unknown to who this bomber jet was? 😂😂
People talking about how the PLA is going to use fancy modern methods like EMP attacks and drone swarms against Taiwan, when it sounds like their tactical doctrine hasn't evolved much since the Korean War, much less the Sino-Vietnamese War.
not wanting to die keeps soilders smart and precise over brazen and reckless ❤ no fear of death means no fear of consequence meaning no use of tactic or stategy behind ATTACK or DEFEND
After one hour the F16 would likely be out of fuel. KInd of hard to believe they don't value their own lives when they are all only children.
100% correct. The CCP's one child policy will seriously make the citizens think twice before sending their only child off to war.
As the narrator says, "their simple minds" are not aware of the greater geopolitical environment
It usually surprised people when you explain to them that one lost soldier, leaves 2 parents and 4 grandparents without an heir and that their family tree stops right there.
I don’t know of China could surstain say 5.000 losses if that involved 30.000 parents and grandparents?

The pilot says he is ready to go to war and he will win by flying his airborne target against enemy fighter aircraft with beyond visual range missiles.
I think a megadeath is on the horizon......
With a massive surplus of males, collapsing birth rates, robotization, ponzi economics, it's inevitable one way or another.
I remember watching a report on US marines visiting China on an exchange. The Chinese invited them to their obstacle/agility course. It was a bunch of monkey bars and flames ignited everywhere. A North Korean gymnast's delight. The PLA soldiers did their whole show will the Marines struggled as they were carrying their weapons through the obstacle while the PLA were not. They harangued the Marines as if to say "dudes, did you just see us blow through this course? Aren't we the most badass?". The Marines just seemed to look at them as if saying, sure if that makes you feel better. I guess if a war was an obstacle course you would win.
Indifference to danger is a well known pattern of behavior in Asia in general. It doesn't mean one is "fearless." It means they aren't smart enough to recognize danger.
Bomber wouldn't last ten seconds in a dogfight with a fighter.
The Japanese 'fearless spirit' didn't serve well in WW2. People are valuable.

Also good intelligence gathering for both sides. Get to see the other side's planes up close. Get to analyse their tactics. Radar signatures, radar emissions, radio Comms (even if they are scrambled, there is still a lot that can be learned) and more.
In wartime, H-6 "bomber" is armed with cruise missiles only. The missiles are launched up to 1500 km away. Once the missiles are launched, the "bombers" turn around and head back home. So obviously enemy forces will never see the H-6 " bomber" as shown in this video.
