- Are you looking for the ultimate curly hair routine for moisture and definition? Lucky for you, Onision dropped the prayer. I followed the tips in Onision's Black Hair trilogy and formed a routine. It involved daily washing, DAILY, to ensure that your hair is not stinky. But remember that people also need to be able to run their hands through your hair, so it also needs to be dry and soft, also frizz is a big no no so don't use a hair dryer. That's it!

TinyFrog Spawn as long as the braids aren’t tight near the scalp for 3 or 4 inches, anything below that can be super tight and it doesn’t bother me. Normally my braids are always loose near the top so it doesn’t hurt, so I get your point, just clarifying it’s fine if it’s tight below the scalp (if that makes sense). Idk, this might just work for me, but I’ve never had problems with scalp pain really so I think it works?

As a Scandinavian, I wash my hair when needed. Usually every two to four weeks. It takes about 8 hours to dry. I have flat and thick hair. I hate the implication that people are not allowed to honour themselves.

I have straight thin hair and just the though of washing them every day makes me uneasy. Any type of hair will get damaged if you wash it every day. And that's not counting on the fact your scalp produces less oil if you wash them less often. I wash mine once a week and it's enough. As a result, my hair gets less damaged, which makes them prettier. Onion's hair routine will destroy anyones hair.

Some people have to wash their hair more often. I have to wash my hair daily or I look like a grease slick.
Beck the more often you wash your hair then the more often it needs to be washed, if you let it chill for like 4 days between washes for about 3 weeks then it wouldn’t get as greasy as often and you’d be able to keep to the every 4-ish days routine

And most cosmetology/hair schools don't cover extremely curly or textured hair types. At most, they teach how to relax/straighten it. Even most non-black parents of black children are clueless.
So there are very few non-black people on this planet who have even a basic understanding of this range of hair types. Thus, it's not unfair to make such a generalization because it's pretty accurate.

You have been to a cosmetology/hair school? Hair schools specialize... in you would never believe it...Hair! They teach all types of hair and lots of hair stylists study other types of hair as well so they can help someone get the best results. It is pretty unfair, there is thousands even millions of hair stylists a lot who became hair stylist because they love doing it and helping people fix their hair. It’s very unfair to assume they have not learned or studied any other type of hair but straight. (Texture wise at least)

If I’ve got it straight, washing everyday makes your hair greasier than if you took 1-2 day breaks between washes in Greg’s hair texture.

Seriously. I'm Asian and have the straightest hair imaginable. I wash my hair about five times a week and even then, it's only because it's thick and becomes oily quickly. Tbh, I still find it a pain in the ass to dry and it's not like my hair is anywhere near difficult to wash.

E Muller my hair gets visibly oily in less than like 9 hours. So I wash my hair daily. ( my hairs not curly ). I tried like waiting a little while longer but the oil started to become more persistent and more difficult to get out of my hair. It was weird... I lost many of my hairs that day

First of all, you can wash braids, second of all hair doesn’t smell after not washing it for a couple of weeks, and washing it every week is how we do it. It doesn’t get dirty like that.
