- Crash Bandicoot is the star of the franchise and will likely be the first scorer you play. However; while he is simple, there are some aspect about him that does have quite a learning curve. In today's Crash Team Rumble 101 guide, I'm going to show you how to ACTUALLY PLAY Crash Bandicoot!

I'm so glad to see you support this game and it's playerbase with such fire in your heart, canadien guy eh. So many other youtube channels are critical about this game. Calling it a waste of money, franchise killer and what not. Sure the game has it's downs, but it's still so bloody fun.

as a crash main this is VERY accurate
though for the slide and the spin. doing a slide-spin will increase the damage and hitbox range.

As a main crash, i think the spin slide is more powerful than the triple spin, it does a lot of damage, can knock back enemies and i feel that is more faster than the triple spin. I just spam the combo on my way to score wumpa

I haven't checked it but I find it quicker to slide over and over instead of usiing triple spin with sliding, I just use triple spin in strech gems platforms.
Also, there is a "pro" trick with Crash that gives you a large amount of movibility, but tbh I've just used it ocasionally in a high platforms:
Slide with spin + Slide with spin + Jump + Press slide button for extra distance + Body Slam but cancel it with a jump + triple spin
I watched this combo in a yt video and it's really impressive 🤯
Canadian Guy Eh as Coco you want to spam her Jump Spiral as much as possible because of its knockback and use Wumpa Stash. Properly aiming Jump Spiral spam can even let you kill Blockers easily. Her Super Slam can leave you open so only use in certain situations.

1:55 this is false.
Crash is the most mobile in the game with his cancels. He can collect wumpa faster than both Tawna and Catbat.
2:04 also false. You explain later in the video he can slide on the bank to cash in. Catbat and Tawna has no such ability and has to jump to defend them selves but interrupts their scoring. Crash doesnt have to do this which somehow you still say he is "weaker than other scorers"
6:53 also, fridge and wumpa stash are the best options. Survivability and scoring.
I am interested on when you make Tawna and Catbat guides that explain how they are better than Crash because the rest of this guide you explain how much better crash is but dont explain how he is weaker than the other scorers.
yeah i dont understand when people say crash is slowest to gather wumpa, but whenever i play different scorers i can get wumpa way faster with crash than with the other 2. obviously depends on map as crash cant jump as high as the other 2 but that is hardly issue. gasmoxian guard(or garbage dump) is much better option against good blocker(s). wumpa stash best option if you are communicating with teammates to help you if needed.

1:55 - Catbat and Tawna have more mobility when looking at their standard move sets, this guide is more targeted to people who don't know the character. Of course a super advanced crash player is going to minimize this issue; but if you compare a average Tawna and/or catbat player to a average crash player,.
2:04 - I literally said "What he lacks in scoring potential, he makes up for in durability" Again, this relates to the note above
6:53 - sure, fridge is great on literally any character, which makes me think it might be in line for nerfs. I dont want to have to update this guide over and over again so I went with wumpa stash to be safe.

Edited Note: Crash has no weaknesses? He has ending lag on both body slams which can leave you open, which you don't even say... for a guide for beginners that's useful to know bro.
Edited Note 2: Also, going through this video again, so many inconsistencies with your words. I get it, you gotta make content, but at least make accurtate content.
1:55- No they don’t. Catbat can’t even GLIDE. Also boxes are on the ground bro not the sky. While Catbat is jumping four times, Crash already slide cancels his way to the bank twice. Tawna has triple spin but it has a slight cool down. Crash slide cancels don’t (which combos into the triple spin for EVEN MORE mobility.) On paper TFB made crash the best at his role because he is the star of the show. That’s why Tawna and Catbat play so differently, hell they gave Tawna a triple kick (because without that she would be terrible than she already is) which isn’t even in crash 4 bro, so for you to say that is wild.
Targeted to new people? You put a “super advanced” tip which isn’t in the hero’s section at all, so how is this for new people bro? Also, there is no “minimize” bro, because you can’t “minimize” catbat jumps or Tawna horrendous hook shot (that isn’t even used for boxes) Crash plays like how he does on paper.
Average players? Crash is the easiest scorer to play, why would an average/noob pick up Catbat or Tawna first? They aren’t even unlocked until you have experience with crash by getting badges. Tawna and Catbat have different moves, each with cool downs while crash does not. They are harder, which takes longer to learn, which means it’s harder to score with them because of that. Rumble 101 bro.
2:04- Durability bro already makes crash better; Tawna has no survivability while Catbat has to heal which has a long cooldown. Neither character can defend themselves against any blocker, Crash can score while sliding on the bank while defending himself. (You also say this as well) So again, to say he is “lacking scoring potential” is flat out wrong. Also it doesn’t relate to the note above because it contradicts your note.
6:53- Nerfs? This isn’t a ranked game mode with tiers of performance. It’s a game that’s broken for a reason because that’s what TFB is going for. If you start nerfing things, EVERYTHING will be nerfed. There are no stats bro for a reason.
Fridge is there for scorers to choose what RISK they are going for, since you are putting “super advanced” tips you should of said that, hell that is actually cool for a beginner to know. You choose fridge for survivability and stash for scoring, you don’t even have to update the guide for that fact my guy.

@@KingPiece11 i have no idea where that "sigh" came from. it should say beginner guide or something if it's meant for beginners. also weird for cge to compare tawna/catbat players to "average crash players" as lot of crash players have only just started the game, not having unlocked other characters, maybe they dont know how to even switch character, are bots, dont care about the other 2 scorers
I think Tanwa may have gotten a secret buff, for some reason I have been getting more KO's and also able to get away from fights quicker when Ripper Roo arrived.

i get that on the stat screen Crash's mobility is less than Tawna and Catbat, but I feel like the game is lying about how mobile Crash actually is. You don't have to fully rely on that stat screen to get your information.
I have played all scorers and I believe Crash is the most mobile of the 3.

I like your videos and all, but this isn't exactly in depth strategies, but you didn't even talk about the best combos for Crash, not chaining airdash with triple spin to body slam cancel to spike them the edge but u cancel it so u dont die, and other advanced tech isn't even talked about
This guide is more directed at people who turn the game on, try a character, have no idea how they work, and then look it up. The combo your describing is far too advanced to include in a video that starts with "Square is used to spin". a "Advanced combo guide" is definitely in the future, but at the moment I want to make sure that baby steps is established first.
im making foundational guides first so that when surges happen in the crash team rumble community, these videos will help people get started, from "I have no idea what this character even does" to "I understand what each move does and most of their potential uses."
I didn’t know that Crash has a super body slam, which explains why I see some players gets squashed by Crash’s body slam. Crash’s air dash reminds me of Yoshi’s flutter jump. The one tip for anyone that is playing as Crash Bandicoot is that continuously use the triple spin and constantly use his slide spin. If you want to get more control of the gem pads, I recommend using the flytrap spitter which it locks on the gem pad and makes your opponents go slow.

Looking at this doesn't give you the feeling you get while playing. If you want to play a traditional platformer, characters like Crash and Catbat give you that with running, jumping and scoring as fast as possible. In for a fight? Pick Dingodile or any other blocker. Want to always help and make the decisive difference between your team scoring all the time or never against the annoying blockers? Pick a booster and support your team with powerful relic stations. Despite only having one mode, every character is so different from the others, that you can see them as a mode by themselves. I was excited for Diablo 4 for over a year...then it burned me in out in one week. This game however never gets boring for me despite playing around 4h+ daily since release.

Yea but we are still stuck with the wumpa fruit colection and the other characters are just a change of gameplay and that is only 10 characters in season 1!!!😑😑😑😑

@@pierrediogo1764 Well...technically LoL also only has one mode. In CoD all you do is shoot others in the face. And in racing games you drive in circles....all the time... Maybe it's just not yours. Personally I suck and don't like racers and shooters.

@@talhabajwa5822 I wanted this game. I can't get anything out of another generic racer, where you drive, or in this case slide, in circles. The core gameplay is good and enjoyable. At least it requires strategy, good team comps, mastery of your character and something more than abusing the shoulder buttons. Right at this moment on twitch: 520 people watch rumble, 20 nitro sliding or whatever the name is.
@@dassagichkeinem4454 Accept it or not, this game kinda flopped. Not a lot of people talk about this game nor stream it and this is an online game. When Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled released it was top 5 of charts for months with also having lots of hype and Rumble was not even top 10 for 1st week of it's release, big oof. This game feels like those games that you have fun for like 2 hours and then never touch it again. This is 40$ game and it only has 1 game mode with few maps and characters? Rumble honestly should've been F2P and then maybe it would be a better success.
