Low-hood EMD locomotives never fail to put a smile on my face :) Thanks for the video!
Glad the railroad's still there, but still miss the DT&I! Spent quite abit of time watching at Leipsic(KN) and Hamler Ohio towers many yrs back.
it's amazing... nice journey by train👍
Man he’s going pretty fast through there! Great video as always. Love that horn as well!
Just chillin' for the ride, great view 👍
Fantastic Video!!!! Loved all 55 minutes of the ride!!
I could watch this for days and days.
Beautiful Horn and awesome video!
Great! My wife's family worked for the DT&I years ago around Lima. Is there s part 2 to this going farther north? That would be wonderful!
please keep making these types of videos. ride along are great.
at the north end of the quincey siding,i noticed a swithch with a very overgrown 3rd siding, looks to be oos
Drayton, I never tire of the view from the cab of a diesel locomotive!
Great video and really cool seeing the deer at 41:52
great video and nice deer at county rd 34s
I live down the road from Quincy, super surprised to see this video
superb! superb! superb!
spent many hours at morgan tower(quincy) friendly operators and ALL semaphore signals.
spent many hours at st paris where dti went under the prr/pc/cr main.
way back then , there was not nearly the tree growth at the quincy bridge as there is now.
the PRR served St. Paris,Oh,New Paris,Oh and Paris,Oh. I have been to all 3 and photographed all 3.
Paris and New Paris have had the rail ripped up. St Paris is the only "paris" with PRR rail still down.
Spent many at FN. Trenton, MI .
@@jeffreymcfadden9403 There's a bit in Paris, IL
Awesome video! :)
LOVE THIS HORN OMG
Nice Video
Really cool video
cool
Worked on the GTW. Never worked the south (DT&I) end!
How come the horn wasn’t blown at the priavte crossings?
Just curious.
Great Video btw.
Federal regulations don’t require them to sound the horn at private crossings. Sometimes they do grade crossing sequences at private crossings, but not very often.
Delay In Block Productions ok
Crossing sequence at private crossings is only required in California and Montana.
it would be nice to point out where the start points and end points are
Looks like this railway line has had some refurbishment. Road Crossings seem to have been repaved with blacktop. The track ballast looks to have been regraded and ties (sleepers) changed out. But the telegraph as not seen the linesman for many years!
Is this a freight or excursion train?
How does the engineer know when to blast the horn when he approaches a crossing?
Is this an annual ride?
The colors really washed out, what happened?
What do you use to mount your cameras to the locomotive?
I use GoPro’s adhesive mounts. They can be found at Walmart in the electronics department.
Thanks Drayton!
Listen to the Drum beat..❤❤❤
What is THE DT&I
detroit toledo and ironton
whereas most ohio rail roads ran east west,,,dti ran north south creating a lot of junctions with dti.
dti was a class operation in the day.
nothing but fond memories.
