It's kinda unfair to compare your set up and broken in RS3M with a cube out of the box. But yeah, I agree that a cube aimed at beginners shouldn't be that fast out of the box.
The previous Monster Go which had yellow GES nuts which are pretty tight was a decent beginner cube - stable and super easy to adjust. However, it's hardly a cube you'd want to use as you get faster.
I might like the new EDU, but I'd loosen the screws for better corner cutting and slapped in some slow lube.
i agree that the comparison wasn’t ideal, but i didn’t have a brand new rs3m with me and this video was meant to just be more for fun.
however, even tightened and slowed down this cube was still super unstable and too fast imo. also the corner cutting wasn’t as good as i’d hoped. also, this literally is just the old monster go 3x3 but with a regular core instead of ges nuts, the pieces are identical and can be swapped between the two

if you can setup a cube well u can go from the edu since u can just slow the puzzle down with lube and it would just feel like a gan cube but if not u should just go for the rs3m since it’s already pretty good ootb

I don't think id buy this cube but I also don't wanna main rs3m, because everyone mains the rs3m. I'm a weilong 21 main myself. But credit where it's due I think rs3m is top tier performance. But I don't like the feel as much. Tho I think gan has the best feel. But too locky on slice moves and if you corner cut too aggressively. Weilong is the best compromise for both.
