    Lyrics:
    [Intro]
    The indulgence of our lives
Has cast a shadow on our world
    Our devotion to our appetites
    Betrayed us all
    An apocalyptic plight
    More destruction will unfold
Mother Earth will show her darker side
    And take her toll
    [Verse 1]
It's just another way to die
There can be no other reason why
You know we should have seen it coming
    Consequences we cannot deny
    Will be revealed in time
Glaciers melt as we pollute the sky
    A sign of devastation coming
We don’t need another way to die
    Can we repent in time?
    [Pre-Chorus]
    The time bomb is ticking
    And no one is listening
    Our future is fading
Is there any hope we'll survive?
    [Chorus]
Still, we ravage the world that we love
And the millions cry out to be saved
    Our endless maniacal appetite
Left us with another way to die
It's just another way to die
Ooh, can we repent in time?
    [Verse 2]
Greed and hunger led to our demise
    A path I can't believe we followed
Black agenda's rooted in a lie
    Will we repent in time?
Species fall before our very eyes
A world that they cannot survive in
Left them with another way to die
    Are we dead inside?
    [Pre-Chorus]
    The time bomb is ticking
    And no one is listening
    Our future is fading
Is there any hope we'll survive?
    [Chorus]
Still, we ravage the world that we love
And the millions cry out to be saved
    Our endless maniacal appetite
Left us with another way to die
It's just another way to die
    [Chorus]
Still, we ravage the world that we love
And the millions cry out to be saved
    Our endless maniacal appetite
Left us with another way to die
It's just another way to die
Ooh, can we repent in time?
    [Outro]
It's just another way to die
Ooh, can we repent in time?

I totally agree. One of my favorites was Blackened by Metallica. Several songs on that album actually, cause several of the songs on their One album try to tell us how screwed up things are in the world. And yet I've heard people take lines out of context from Blackened to show how "evil" they are. "See your mother put to death, see your mother die" was about how we are just standing by watching "Mother Earth" be put to death. Yet there are those that think it's about killing your mom. So sad that the truth in the messages these bands put out gets ignored or twisted into something they are not.

Basically the entire European Union. Every government run by men is essentially geared toward centralizing power and stripping humans of their natural right to freedom. That plus explaining normally and effectively about why they hae no brothers, and having the parents fully cooperate with this system. That way, population will decrease all over the world, and pollution awareness might be easier to accomplish. because as a kid, seeing everyone else throw stuff on the ground when they have a trash bin literally two meters away from them, causes most kids to do that too to 'look cool'. All of us need to inspire our children in better ways so that we, as a species, will continue to evolve, behave better and become smarter together.

lol indeed & covids just getting started, its first foray into humanity in 2003 it killed a few 100 as sars then it went bk into animal reservoirs for a few years found its way bk into humans via camels as mers killed a few 100 more went bk into hiding, emerged a few years later from bats again as sars cov 2 aka covid19 infected every inhabited continent on the planet within a year & became endemic on most & in multiple animal reservoirs in ASIA EUROPE & Americas
meaning if it keeps to its old pattern which benefited from 1,000,000s less hosts & 3 less continents to work with... means within 5 years we will have the next novel SARS origin super virus, statistically speaking
thats ON TOP of whatever new deadly/vaccine resistant covid19 variants also develop in that time, we are just at the start of a very long spiral that marks the end of western enlightenment although it will be another time & culture the ends up recording this as the event horizon of our cultures death spiral
(over next decade alone we will lose more than 10 years life expectancy in the west just due to the load SARs and its offspring places on our hospital systems. thats not counting ANY of the other effects of climate change or the redrawing of the trade lanes that have remained mostly unchanged for 400 years AKA the great game which will also reduce lefe expectancy via disasters causing death, disease & famine)

When a metal band like disturbed manage to create a song more relevant and powerful than the so-called religious band backed by big churches, you know there's something wrong with the world. +Amya Ride (Some Day) This song is made to think about how we live our life imo.
Just like ,you know, you're the one who make your own future.
Only you/I can make the decisions about our ideals/lifes; if not then we accept that our beliefs and what we want might be forgotten and never happen.
Noone can be happy for you, noone can boycott corporation's products better than the individual (you, me)
We have to understand that we're the ones needing to take actions, and our actions have consequences, which we have to be aware of before doing stupid things.
If we find other people thinking alike on our way, it's for the best, but don't expect anybody else to make what you think has to be made.
Kinda redundant, I know, but I can't allow poor people suffer for us to use our buypower. Neither can I let a small amount of people control crowd's actions and beliefs.
Media will only tell you what they're told to/ will make money, mostly dramatic pictures and useless stuff.
Reality is perception, change it and your reality will change.
Either if you choose to be blind either you choose to oversee the worldwide shit we're into.
Life keeps going on, but is human's purpose to serve a so-called democracy, working at least 8h/day being underpayed ?
Is human kind's purpose to earn money just to spend it and feel better about the fact we're lost in a society were we have to struggle our way to be allowed to be apart of the world ?
Aren't we supposed to help eachother ?
Most of the time, innocent pay for the crimes of governments and corporations.
Most of the time, poor people are the most willing to help others.
But anyway, it's easier to rule 100 000 000 people spiting on eachothers' face than ruling 100 of them walking hand in hand.
While we're wasting our time, animals, vegetals and humans are paying for our selfishness and our unability to take a break and doe the simple thing of thinking.

Through the clever use of figurative and persuasive language devices, the lyrics effectively convey a powerful warning that global warming will soon bring humanity’s downfall. Draiman protests against humanity’s poor treatment of Earth throughout the song, with the first example at 0’19”. The line the indulgence of our lives has cast a shadow on our world can be seen to literally represent the atmospheric pollution caused by humanity’s materialism. A rhetorical question occurs at 1’32”, in the line: can we repent in time? This invokes contemplation in the audience, inviting them to ponder whether humanity has the moral strength to unite and mend the damage caused to Earth. The opening lines of the pre-chorus (the time bomb is ticking and no one is listening) obviously mention a ticking time bomb; however the bomb is symbolic of an apocalypse and the fact that it is ticking implies that it is active and waiting to explode.

(OOooo yeah, I just went there) Didn't the pope agree just recently that global warming was a THING? You need to do some research. It's a plain fact that the average temperature has been climbing rapidly over the last few decades. Albert Al Gore is a good place to start. I believe speak for most that your dismissal of climate change as a "joke" is infuriating to the point of you laughter; you've made a fool of yourself for being so ignorant.MrOneshotonekill308 Yes, yes I did. This is just a small sample of a larger essay which I did about the musical elements that help to convey Draiman's message.
