I like both Quentin & Bigelow, Hurt Locker and Inglourious Basterds..but imo whilst The Hurt Locker had better sound design more realistic character, I think Inglourious Basterds had the better screenplay/story.
Either way though the Oscars are notorious for their inconsistency with awarding the right people, and I don't know why you guy can't agree to disagree anyway..rather than doing that childish yes-no bullshit. you weirdos

Mark Boal’s script for the The Hurt Locker felt very uneven and lacked a basic plot. His writing for Zero Dark Thirty was so much better!
Mark Boal won for "The Hurt Locker" when Quentin Tarantino deserved it for "Inglourious Basterds", and then 3 years later Tarantino wins for "Django Unchained" when Boal deserved it for "Zero Dark Thirty". They really should trade statuettes.

I will agree with you that the writing for Zero Dark Thirty was so much better than The Hurt Locker. Zero Dark Thirty actually had a plot and the dialogue actually made sense to the plot instead part of unnecessary scenes that could have been cut from the movie.
And kids, this was the day Quentin Tarantino got robbed.

“Inglorious Basterds” by far is Tarantino’s best work when it comes to writing - 4 different languages and created one of the greatest characters of all-time in Hans Landa. It’s a shocking shame that he didn’t win for best writing.

Tina Fey and RDJ should team up for more things. They are two of my most favorite entertainers. So sharp-tongued and witty.

Inglorius Basterds, A Serious Man and Up had way better script than the heavily criticized by the military script of HL.

It should have been Tarantino. Hurt Locker was good but unlike Mark Boal who didn't know what the director would make out of his screenplay, Tarantino (since he wrote it) knew exactly what he wanted once he was done.
I would have preferred in Quentin had won for Inglorious Bastards while Mark should have won for Zero Dark Thirty 3 years later instead.
