Robert Downey Jr. and Tina Fey present Mark Boal with the Oscar for Original Screenplay for The Hurt Locker at the 82nd Academy Awards. Introduced by Alec Baldwin.
Tina and rdj are hilarious together.I would love to see them in a comedy or dramedy that would be priceless! hope they can host the oscars together again in the future!
^ You people are childish af. Especially the guy named 'Cliff Booth' after the character from Quentin's OUATIH. I like both Quentin & Bigelow, Hurt Locker and Inglourious Basterds..but imo whilst The Hurt Locker had better sound design more realistic character, I think Inglourious Basterds had the better screenplay/story. Either way though the Oscars are notorious for their inconsistency with awarding the right people, and I don't know why you guy can't agree to disagree anyway..rather than doing that childish yes-no bullshit. you weirdos
Mark Boal won for "The Hurt Locker" when Quentin Tarantino deserved it for "Inglourious Basterds", and then 3 years later Tarantino wins for "Django Unchained" when Boal deserved it for "Zero Dark Thirty". They really should trade statuettes.
I will agree with you that the writing for Zero Dark Thirty was so much better than The Hurt Locker. Zero Dark Thirty actually had a plot and the dialogue actually made sense to the plot instead part of unnecessary scenes that could have been cut from the movie.
“Inglorious Basterds” by far is Tarantino’s best work when it comes to writing - 4 different languages and created one of the greatest characters of all-time in Hans Landa. It’s a shocking shame that he didn’t win for best writing.
He makes those sneakers look good. He is the only guy I have ever seen pull that off. Many have tried, many have failed. RDJ looks good in everything :)
for my oscar or no oscar RBJ he's the best, his versatility, his wit, charisma surprises me more, but this does not say, he does not deserve one because it should have for 21 years and to be more exact chaplin 1992.
Lets hope one Day he does though im not obssed about that. He has the love of the audience and the box office hehe. Really latly it seems like The success at the box office is much more important than Any Oscar. And Because of his increíble performance as Iron Man he is highly succesful at the box office. So i dont Mind of never wins an Oscar. If he gets nominated again i Will root for him and get super excited but wont loose Any sleep If he doesnt
"He's an Acadamy Award winning actor" ... Huh? I guess Baldwin is predicting the future here ^^ Robert's delivery of the presentation was once again brilliant! I want him to HOST!!! 1:39 - ROFL
Unfortunately, Alec misspoke in the intro by saying "Academy Award winning actor" when referring to Mr. RDJ. A two-time nominee, yes. A winner, no. Which reminds me, why hasn't he won yet? Hmh.
A mole is a small mammal who burrows and lives underground. It is mostly blind except in the dark. They are shy and rarely venture out of their homes beneath the earth. They're also not considered very attractive animals. "Mole people" is a phrase which refers to people who are so busy, isolated, or unsociable that they resemble moles.
@Dynamic Equilibrium: RDJ has not won an Oscar -yet. He has been nominated twice (Chaplin and Sherlock Holmes). He won 2 Golden Globes (Sherlock Holmes and Ally McBeal)
the way he says sickly little mole people HILARIOUS :) and seeing jennifer lopez and the row behind her robin williams at 1:52 am remembered of the movie they made together she played a teacher he played a fast aging student think it was called jack :)
It should have been Tarantino. Hurt Locker was good but unlike Mark Boal who didn't know what the director would make out of his screenplay, Tarantino (since he wrote it) knew exactly what he wanted once he was done.
Man Downey's timing was spot on. Subdued hilarious!
the way robert took tina's arm when they were exiting the stage was just too adorable
Fact = Tina Will Voiced 22 In Pete Docter's "Soul"
Robert Downey Jr needs to host the Oscars ASAP
We know
Only Ironman, gets to wear shades in the Academy Awards. Oh yeah, he went there!
Old king cole was a merry old soul and a merry old soul was he Jack Nicholson too
And Tarantino's Oscar goes to...
Ryan Akwar more than just those two! Tarantino is one of the GOATs
No.
I mean I liked this comment, but A Serious Man though...
@@paulallen2474
You’re spot on there
Nah, Tarantino has two Oscars now. The Hurt Locker had a great script.
Tina and rdj are hilarious together.I would love to see them in a comedy or dramedy that would be priceless! hope they can host the oscars together again in the future!
Robert Downey Jr is the best.
Yes, yes he is. And yes, I know this comment is 2 years late, but yeah.
Aaren C. yes i agree! And also yes, this reply is another 2 years late
@@elyawahab3193 i am the onlynoe from 2020
@@dianaf2257 I can't wait for another 2 years so Yes ! He's the best !

Tarantino got robbed man Inglourius Basterds was a story unlike any other
no he didn't.

This is one of, if not THE most funniest Oscar moment in its history. They should really invite Robert Downing Jr. to host the Oscar show.
It really suck because Inglourious Basterds was one of Tarantino's best scripts, and that's saying something!
But pulp fiction is his best script
Excuse me, but Mark Bowle's script us one of the best in history!
@@ehsan6744 dude Tarantino literally took it 14years to write the script for Inglorious Basterds .
Mark Boal’s script for the The Hurt Locker felt very uneven and lacked a basic plot. His writing for Zero Dark Thirty was so much better!
Mark Boal won for "The Hurt Locker" when Quentin Tarantino deserved it for "Inglourious Basterds", and then 3 years later Tarantino wins for "Django Unchained" when Boal deserved it for "Zero Dark Thirty". They really should trade statuettes.
Zero dark thirty wasnt an original script genius.
@@shetty6281 Yes it was. It wasn't based on a book, it was based on original journalism by mark boal.
Django was better than zero dark anyways
I will agree with you that the writing for Zero Dark Thirty was so much better than The Hurt Locker. Zero Dark Thirty actually had a plot and the dialogue actually made sense to the plot instead part of unnecessary scenes that could have been cut from the movie.
And kids, this was the day Quentin Tarantino got robbed.
I think its his best film
Kenny Williams My favourite movie ever is Pulp Fiction, so I can't agree with you haha, but I think it's one of his best.
+Joao Victor Wasn't that when Pulp Fiction didn't win best picture?
Both days he got robbed haha
***** Most of his movies are best picture worthy. Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained are prime examples
"It's a collaboration between handsome gifted people and sickely little mold people" Robert Downey Jr. is the best! xD

Hurt Locker was good.
@@IWantToMature85 Yeah, good it was.
@@IWantToMature85 inglourous was far better written
Eventhough that was supposed to be Tarantino's Oscar, I was really moved by The Hurt Locker, so Congrats Mark Boal!
OMG! Just the way RDJ is standing there, looking all serious and stone-faced, has me laughing hard!! That man is truly the master of sarcasm! :D
Tarantino really thought he was gonna win that one, he talked about it on Howard Stern interview, you can see the disappointment
its just INSANE that Inglorious Bastards didn't get it.......
It Insane Too .
Movies are more than tense scenes and cute dialogue.
The Fidget Spinner Movie I guess you believe that is the only thing that movie had then ...... probably we take a look at different elements in movies
@@mougabo No, that movie had more going for it, but in terms of screenplay, it really didn't have very much to it like The Hurt Locker did.
@@maximumoccupancyhuh the hurt locker had arguably the worst screenplay of all nominees
1:00 R.I.P ;(
It's time for Robert to win an Oscar!

He won
Tony Stark presenting to Hawkeye
Where's the Hawkeye
Tina Fey and RDJ should team up for more things. They are two of my most favorite entertainers. So sharp-tongued and witty.
He makes those sneakers look good. He is the only guy I have ever seen pull that off. Many have tried, many have failed. RDJ looks good in everything :)
Inglorius Basterds, A Serious Man and Up had way better script than the heavily criticized by the military script of HL.
Yeah I thought Up was better
Up’s screenplay was not better then The Hurt Locker LOL!!! IG and A Serious Man maybe.
I love Robert Downey Jr
I want Robert to Host the oscars in 2019
RDJ's shoes though.... I LOVE HIM
Robert is simply the most amazing, funny, sexy man on this planet.. FACT
R.I.P ROBIN WILLIAMS
for my oscar or no oscar RBJ he's the best, his versatility, his wit, charisma surprises me more, but this does not say, he does not deserve one because it should have for 21 years and to be more exact chaplin 1992.
Tarantino deserved this Funking oscar !!
it should have been Inglourious Basterds
"And the winner is..." instead of "And the Oscar goes to..."
Finally, someone said it right. Thank you, RDJ.
he was still in character
People who need to host the Oscars together. Great chemistry.
They were adorable together backstage during the Oprah interview too.
Robert Downey Jr. never won an academy award! he deserves one though.
Quentin Tarantino should have won
How the fuck they didn't give the oscar to Quentin Tarantino. Inglorious Bastards was masterpiece and had a fuckin amazing script.
2:48 I hate he didn't even noticed RDJ
Robert Downey Jr. is the man.
Oh, and "Up" was totally robbed.
Both Tony Stark and Hawkeye were in attendance in that year's Oscars.
RDJ had never won an Oscar though
Fadhil Ramadhani true.
I know right! I was waiting for someone to notice
i think he slipped at that he must've meant academy awards nominee
Yeah but he should have for Chaplin

Ha! What a crazy outfit! Gotta love Robert Downey Jr. He cracks me up.
Mark Boal couldn't be any more handsome! I'm so jealous...
"He's an award winning actor" sadly he's not won yet
Robert Downey, Jr.: 2013 Oscars Host
Did no one notice how they said ”academy award winning actor” when introducing Robert
I did.. He's not!
I wanna see them in a movie together. Such crazy/lovely chemistry!
Mark Boal should've won for Zero Dark Thirty not for The Hurt Locker.
I NEED MORE OF THIS COMBO
downey has style....i liked his blue bowtie and blue shades

Can we just talk about Robin Williams not laughing and looking sad. Like this hurts my heart ☹️

4. A Serious Man
5. The Messenger
Why? I love it! It's totally unique and not to mention adorable.
The Hurt Locker has great screenplay than other films.
I thought up was
Not as good as Up
I personally wouldn’t have nominated it in the top 5 of 2009.
I can't take Robert!!! Lmfao xD
Sickly little MOLE PEOPLE.

I would have preferred in Quentin had won for Inglorious Bastards while Mark should have won for Zero Dark Thirty 3 years later instead.
He could be winning another award this month
Up should've won Best Screenplay and Picture
Lol!! RDJ is amazing!! Love him! And haha JLO was laughing!! Haha
It's a collaboration!!!!"
Good call. Hurt Locker was an extraordinary movie.
Great movie but "Inglourious Basterds" was a superior script.
genius dialogue!
Wow the line by RDJ about monologuing was longer than the time they took to name the nominees. 🤣
He was nominated for Tropic Thunder, too.
found the cut to sarah jessicar parker strange and then i remembered how they used to be a couple for years - that of course explains it...
just haha HILARIOUS i forget how funny robert is :)
