its the COBRA Engine from Elite Dangerous. its totally VR capable and might come at some Point. But Planet Coaster is too young still and beeing improved and worked on. also the UI would have to be reworked which could be a massive pain for VR.
Mar Eck I was thinking it would be simple to code VR for a "guest" mode that allows you to walk around as a guest, walk using the stick control and look around using the VR headset. I think it would actually be simple and will be most likely what we will see rather than full VR support

I hope the first designer, Coastercad, is an actual theme park design employee. Amazing.

The Sims + Roller Coaster Tycoon. Gosh, this is beautiful.
I know I will never find enough time, skills and patience to make anything even similar to this, but still - the perspective of making a theme park based on my favorite sci-fi titles, or maybe even some stories that I have written is absolutely amazong. And let's be honest- this game is everything I wanted... and so much more!

Palenque is in Chiapas, Mexico. Other than that I agree, that tower on the left is pretty unique. I visited there in 2014.

Fantastic and beautiful theme park, no rides, it is basically a big fairytale park
I am more blown away by the graphics engine in this game. That it can handle all this, all the models and lights.

The second map reminds me of the movie "Logan's Run". Because of the buildings when you first entered.
But, the first map is so unbelievably beautiful & breathtaking. Definitely my favorite.

This is the video that got me into Planet Coaster (as well as the level) there are so many hidden areas and places to discover just on this level, it's mind blowing. The time and detail on this level is astounding.

man, the little easter egg like bits of that first park, the burrow, the house from a series of unfortunate events, uch an eye for detail.
The first one brings back so many memories from Dragon Age. The mill in Redcliffe Village from Dragon Age Origins, the white palace as the Winter Palace from DA: Inquisition. I love it!!!
For me, the first one is inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic 2, the archangel location looks a lot like the human city archangel spawn house.
There's some great use of landscaping and architectural space here, excellent castle and use of details.
Imagine the first one is real and you own it. Just walk around super stoned an feelin like your in some Disney movie.

Thats by far the best looking park i've ever seen
If I wanted to enter a new world, I would visit the first park. If I wanted the most immersive rollercoaster ride of my life, I would visit the second park.
All that Planet Coaster is missing is the ability to walk around in the park in first person as a guest.

The Second map is hella dope. A shame it's in two pieces but putting that aside it's attention to detail is also incredible.

What if someone wants to see it but can't afford the game, they're just gonna say fuck it and never be able to see what it's like? CZcams has always been like this mate, people upload all kinds of footage for people that don't have the game to see, go cry somewhere else if you dont like it

Vectra Could be that, but you can be nice and thankful, because if it is for that reason, he's not "stealing" anyone else's stuff. If he was he'd be saying it was his, he's just showing this cool map off to viewers while giving all credit to the creator
That detail on the first Park just blew me away tbh. I've not used P.C. yet but what I've seen just makes my eyes bulge. I didn't hear about Planet coaster until I began watching filmed coaster rides. It was the first P.C. ride that was so realistic, I thought it was a real coaster. It was only until I looked further into who made the video that I began hearing about the product. Anyway, top video and thanks for showing me what can be done with P.C. with lots of time and imagination :)

i played the alpha 3 version and once i got access to beta none of the parks i created in alpha 3 worked any more, i could load them but the parks were empty and there was no connection to the outside world so i assume it was deleted for this reason.

There's a difference between the two games. Minecraft is a survival game , Minecraft would be pointless if you couldn't play to survive. Planet Coaster is a tycoon, a rollercoaster tycoon. If there weren't any rollercoasters in a park then it would seem pretty useless then

I've only just started watching videos on this game this morning. It's downloading now.
Agreed that they are VERY impressive. Just a note though. Buildings can be built, finished, and then duplicated. This includes the lights and all. I could see quite a bit that was cloned. Which is completely fine, of course. I was simply pointing out, that it might not have taken as much time and you would first think. =)
