    You sold me sir! So many good things about this video compared to others. The fact that you were able to cut so thick! I don't see anyone else running an air hose to blow smoke and carbon away from the cut. Subscribed and watching!

    Thanks for the video. I was wondering if you should change the focus when cutting multiple passes, when you are doing a deep cut. Since what you are cutting is now farther away (farther down) maybe you shouldn't focus on the top surface anymore.

    Good review, I bought ortur with 20w, and it has focus problem specially in the horizontal lines. I can cut 4 mm plywood but not like butter, it needs 20 rounds for 500 mm/min. I focus the best I know but It is not a dot but a line.

    I am choosing which laser engraver to get for our robotics team. I think this video helped me to decide. Did you find that you would sometimes switch to the lower power laser for some jobs or did you always use the 20W. I am looking forward to this. What is the difference between 30 Watt and 30 Watt max. Is it just the bed size? This video really helped me. I would like to see you do a video on tile engraving with white paint. Do you know the cell phone girl?

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 3 lety

      Cell phone girl is the girl from videogame GTA if i remember right.
      You can choose neje 2, neje plus or neje max, only difference is in size, mini is worst than other.
      then you can choose from the modul, 2.5w is best for frayscale engrave and 40w is best for cutting, if you ask me 40w is the best one, there come video in few days only about 40w modul, than also video about compare all the moduls from 2.5w-40w, did you watch all of my neje videos?

      TinC33 - wow! I posted that 3 weeks ago, things change fast over there! Maybe it was an apology effort for infecting the whole world. ;)

    Hi Tin33, is the beam focusable or you have to physically adjust the distance from material?

    hello great channel ..... according to the tests you have done, which brand is better ... ORTUR or NEJE .... to do the work of engraving and cutting?

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 4 lety

      As i say many times, it's hard to choose one, ortur is much faster, but neje got better laser modul and better software, neje 2 got also bt and phone app to controll, about laser, 3,5w is best for gray scale engrave, 20w is better for deep engrave & cutting.

    Hi! Thanks for the video. As you've done so many tests, I wonder if you could put the results in some kind of "cheat sheet"? I think of some table with good settings for engraving or cutting different material types.

      Hello i got plan to make something like that in some future video where i test all the laser moduls from 2,5w to 40w.

    Thank you so much for your video - this has helped me in deciding which laser I am going to purchase. Do you happen to have your parameters you used to get me started please?

      When you got the machine just make few tries with different settings and you know in a minute what setting you need (there are only two) because it's differenf on every material.

    i have a question for you; i want to cut a nylon fabric (500 D or more). Which laser should i take? a lower power, ie 3.5W, doing more passes or is it preferable to take a 20W and then possibly reduce the power by the software? what do you think about ?

    Great vid. Thank's
    Quick question; if I may ...
    I want to cut a pattern as deep as possible in hardwood; what is the depth that I can get to ... !?
    Can I get to 4mm ... !?
    And, what thickness (width) of cut can I cut at the same time ... 1 / 2 / 3 / 4mm ... !?
    I would like to cut (in hardwood) ... 3mm depth with a 2 to 3mm width of cut ... !?
    Would love your advice on that?
    Thank you so much.

      Thanks, line width is about 0,1mm so if you want deep engrave not cut just set propper speed and power to reach 4mm deep and than engrave line by line until line will be 4mm wide.
      But you need to know that there will not be evenly deep surface, because wood is not the same hardness (don't know how to say layers wood make every year while growing)...
      For that job i suggest 20w or more laser modul.

    Very thorough review. I hope that you will share more information about your air nozzle modification. Did it produce enough thrust to effect the laser?

    DO you know if this will engrave on polymer pistol grips? I would estimate no deeper than 1/8" depth. If not can you recommend one that would.
    Thanks in advance.
