I love how Chris makes everyone feel good about who they are and be proud of every achieve they make
He is such an amazing person.
I saw a video about a college woman who uses a device to help her communicate because she can't talk-due to autism. Another man used used one as he had CP. It helps being from being misunderstood. I had trouble just being understood when I had to wear a mask due to Covid and I have GERD and a mask made it worse. A device would have helped because my handwriting I'd just as bad as a Dr's!
Almost 4 years later but... I hope she improved her speech even more than what she sounded back then!! English is not even my first language and I can totally understand everything she says.
What perfect advice: "if you be yourself, you'll have the best time ever." We can never be more suited to being anything but who we are.
Thank you for this beautiful channel and all that you do, SBSK! X
She is a beautiful young woman with great intelligence and communication. What an inspiration ❤️
Hi Katherine and your Mom, This post is so encouraging for me as a mum in UK and my son who is 6 years old just diagnosed. Thanking for being brave and leading the way! Chris is enough to make anyone tongue tied - so good looking! Good Luck in school Katherine, being nervous is completely normal. You've come this far and you are going to be great. Just enjoy everyday. Well done.
I don't watch a lot of this kind of interviews elsewhere so I'm not familiar with the formatting and preparations regarding the process.
But I cannot stress enough on how much I appreciate Chris' questions. Simple, to the point, and above all, sincere. This alone shows me that he cares a lot and it allows the individuals he interviews to answer with honesty and transparency.
This might sound like a given but I feel that it is a very important step in connecting them with the world that some of them feel isolated from.
I really want an update on Katherine! I wanna hear about her college experience.
would love to see an update on how she is doing Chris!
Seconded. I hope all of Chris's predictions about not judging her and meeting lots of friends came true.
My daughter wears hearing aids, she feels different but thankfully her friends make her feel just like everyone else.
Shes so kind and happy!!! I would love to be his friend !
I'm so glad your comments got turned back on. I love being able to engage with your channel and the lovely people you highlight.
Re watching this after a few years. Learned so much. Thank you Kathrine.

She would be an awesome friend❤️
Hope she and her family are doing well❤️
Sending love❤️
What an amazing girl ❤ we need more acceptance towards people like her ❤
What a humble person.❤
Katherine is so pretty and extremely smart. I can see that in her eyes. I appreciate how hard she’s trying to talk herself, because I fully understand why she prefers that over using her app. I hope she had/has a great time at college, and I have no doubt she has made some good friends along the way 🤩
Amazing, you are wonderful and if I get a chance we will have a wonderful conversation with you. You are an inspiration to all people with the condition. All the best girl.
Katherine is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful 😍

My son has speech apraxia. He's not quite 4 yet. We don't know how severe it is. I want to make sure I do everything I can to help him grow to be independent, especially because he came out wanting to be very independent. He's incredibly capable. He's always scaring me with how independent he is. He loves to help make meals and clean dishes. Potty training has been wild and hilarious. He taught himself how to get dressed and will often change his outfit 3-8 times in one day just cause he wants to. But we have to make sure we look for any clothes he's left around that he had an accident in that need to be washed cause he doesn't necessarily always tell us. He's getting better at telling us, which I'm so proud of him for. He tries to talk a lot. We're understanding him better and better cause he's more and more willing to try doing the sounds better. Getting speech therapy is frustrating and complicated.
My 4 year old is getting speech therapy too. She is the best thing that has happened to our family.
@@rachaelmccarl toddlers are my favorite humans. That says a lot cause I really like a lot of humans.

Can apraxia of speech be an independent diagnosis?
Hi there, I would love to be your friend, I have a hard time communicating, too
Hi Katherine , I'm Todd and I use a powerchair. I also don't speak all that well myself. I been on my own since 2001. If I can do it so can you!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Get her on the bone broth/GAPS protocol - it completely changed my son's life and gave him not only speech but a positive future to look forward to.
Ciaoo ragazza sei una belezza per me ok devi avere tante cose da dire va bene ti ascolto e la tua mami ok 🍀🤩🌹ok tu sei 1 ok vi salutò tutti in special modo tu ragazza ⭐️🖖💖

From someone who has apraxia, she has something much worse .
I used to go to speech therapy when I was young even through high school. Sign language can be very useful that is if she wants to learn it.❤😊 I'm glad she making it through life I'm proud 🥲
