I will admit, I have had to eat my words from the first time you showed the mess that it was. Bordeaux should be paying you from reclaiming this house
Such a relief to hear that you have been giving your back an opportunity to recover, Edd. We do appreciate the thoughtful update on the impressive stone work progress. It looks amazing. Will definitely enjoy seeing the actual process in the section on the side that you have intentionally left to share via video. The work accomplished indoors is striking. Cyril is doing a fine job on the drywall. The bathroom adjustment explanations and even the forgotten provision for the waste pipe from the upstairs shower add a glimpse of the realities we all bump up against in the course of complex projects. When you reveal those encounters/experiences in the midst of your vlogs it elevates the admiration I already have for your humble transparency and integrity. Heartfelt thanks!

Does that mean that the towel rail will be across the room by the sink rather than outside the shower? That doesn't seem to be very logical.
I might have missed something, but being able to reach a dry, warm towel after a shower seems better than having to walk across the room.
You two are geniuses, hard workers, and gifted with aesthetics. Want a stunning couple! I love your work!

Anna and Ed my I suggest you do a banister around the top of the stairs to keep the upstairs hallway as light and airy as possible?
I may have miss understood your intentions to put up a wall along the corridor along the stair side, I think a beautiful natural Oak balustrade would bring warmth, Osmo'd of course. Perhaps an antique Wrought Iron railing to continue the feeling of history in keeping with the beautiful warm stone exterior.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Shutting it in as Ed described would make it dark and small. But your suggestion would be light and open.
Cyril is doing a nice job inside. Love the rendering and stone work you did outside, The neighbours will be happy about it as well. Squatters can't get in now either, that's a worry gone.

Ed, maybe rethink your idea of the towel rack next to the toilet. Every time you flush it the vapor spar can go up to six feet from the toilet, not very sanitary.
I don’t know what your reasoning is but I think it’s nice to have the towel rail heated or not near the shower .
And for that very reason you should always put the lid down before you flush.
exactly. and anyone who has ever shared a bathroom with a man knows that quite often the aim is terrible. soooo many people don’t close the lid before flushing. nasty. i prefer not to have to cross the room and drip all over the floor just to retrieve my towel.
Better to be the conceptualizer, planner, and supervisor than to totally ruin your back Edd. Enjoyed the vid.

Ed, as a chronic pain person, I can understand about back. I have prolapsed discs, and at any time, it could paralyse me. Whilst I'm still walking, im not taken a chance with surgery.. take your time to recover your back, which is more important than a video 😮

Before you put the shatters in, you probably should pressure wash the entire facade of the building. That way everything will be perfect.

Hello dear Edd! Sorry to hear your back is bothering you. Have you tried Kinesiology taping (K-taping)? I'm a retired professional ballet dancer, and over the years I had many back problems. K-taping a is an incredible support, which I know will help you during your healing. I'm sure your Osteo/physio knows how, or just look for youtube videos and Anna can do it for you.

It's coming along nicely. The outside has really changed with the new windows and the repairs of the stonework. I look forward every video to see the changes!
Edd. U have. Done such major reno to this House. I cant wait to see completion ! Ur a great reno man with great ideas. But as someone said. *dont put towel warmer bars next to toilet. U need towels when u come out of. SHOWER.. Imo. Plus towels will pick up bacteria right by toilet. FECAL germs do float around. I hope u put a Exhaust Fan above toilet....imo. (i dont have one in my apt as it is old.. but i sure hate this)
