- True Geordie recently made a controversial joke that has come back to bite him. He's been dropped by several of his sponsors and received severe backlash from both the Muslim community and his own fans. After releasing a seemingly disingenuous apology video, the hate got much much worse.

I don't wanna point fingers, but I feel like a lot of christians nowadays have become too tolerant. You have christians who are only christians by name, not by actions. You have christians who use thier gods name in vain all the time, while others might even go as far to mock their god/prophet.
While the Christian church in the past may have been corrupt, at peast they didn't change their religion to fit the standards of a very small minority (a lot of the new gay churches).
You guys might call me biased or whatever because I'm a muslim myself, but even as a muslim, I would never mock another religion the same way I've seen some christians do to their own. Of course, there are many good Christians out there. Actually, I'm sure that the vast majority of proper Christians wouldn't mock their god the way I see some do, but the way many social media influencers and celebrities talk about Christianity has brainwashed people into thinking that mocking religions such as Christianity okay.

I'm really confused with the whole "Tate turned to Islam" situation and let me explain why.
Disclaimer: I'm not defending the Geordie fella, as I don't even know him.
It really confuses me this just from the fact that Tate himself has expressed himself liking Orthodox Christianity's way as a religion for various reasons before and suddenly he becomes Muslim. Without wanting to offend anyone's religion, personally I believe he did so just because he knew that Muslims in comparison to Christians were more likely to jump on his defence if something bad were to happen to him, as in today's society, they are way more protective over their religion and their own. Basically I really believe he is a scam fake-wanna be Muslim, as I know from many Muslim friends of mine that they treat their women with respect and not as objects like mr.Tate seems to have done.
you spoke the truth. I told my muslim friends about this and what he had done . they told me it was all fake and stuff like that. It's also not worth fighting with them about these thing. So i don't even bother doing it.
In Islam if someone converts to Islam we have to believe that they are converting for the right reason. If we do not know if Andrew is sincere or not we should treat him as he was sincere. We do not now Andrew's to intentions and you do not either. In Islam every new muslim is a good thing and we should not chase then away. Also In Islan anyone who converts to Islam has all their sins forgiven so any sins Andrew has done in the past has now been forgiven and we should not judge hin for it.

I feel like the Geordie guy was in some drama in the past. Dude always seems to be in drama, but Tate claims to have converted but doesnât act like it at all. When hit by cancel culture, the worst thing you can possibly do is apologise. If True Geordie had simply ignored it and not made an apology video in the first place, he'd almost certainly still have a career. That being said, the joke wasn't exactly funny in the first place. If you are gonna make dark jokes at least put some effort into it. The delivery was awful, it sounded dry and there was more malice to his voice than anything to suggest a tone in which one was joking.

Any apology is taking responsibility for the fact that our actions are not okay. But when we admit that we messed up or said something racist then society determines weâre racist. Saying something racist is not good, but believing that it is okay to say something racist is unacceptable. But we canât admit that what we did was not okay and they we are not racist because we will be canceling. And so we cant forgive people for making a mistake and saying something racist because they never are able to admit they were wrong. Tbh as a Muslim who knows nothing about this I find Andrew and this dude very much close in the way they think and people love taking sides because they relate but I can't. If Andrew became a Muslim then what is happening to him is either what he deserves or a test, both of which is a kind reminder to everyone else to value human life no matter how different we are, in gender or faith.
