I feel bad for my dad because once the quest 3 came out i told my dad can i get the 2 then he said i will see then once i saw that the quest 3 came out and it was so expensive i didn’t want my dad to lose money and get sad so i told him the quest 2 is enough for me i feel so bad for my dad he’s been working hard😣
I was originally going to get the Q3 as my first VR headset when it was announced but then I also wanted to play PCVR, so what I did was to get a used Q2 and then upgraded to BOBOVR strap and then use what remains of my intended budget and added a little bit more to get a decent PC, and I am happy with my purchase... playing the large library for my Q2 and enjoying smooth PCVR gaming on it has been the greatest decision ever. I might still get a better headset perhaps after a year or so but so far with what the Q2 gave me, it was an awesome experience... never cared for MR as i prefer my VR to take me away from the real world vs reminding me of it lol

Yeah this is the route I go, I usually have my headset connected to pc since the visuals are a lot better and the gaming experience seems to be better to. Don't really plan to upgrade until the q2 breaks or something far more comfortable comes out now since it really doesn't seem like there isn't much of a difference except MR
She did a very good job explaining this. I bought a quest 2 several years ago and loved it. I'm older so i'm not a big gamer. I use audio trip and beat saber for exercise, Roller coaster and climb for fun, a few travel apps and the rest is third party video available content. I bought a quest 3 and notice no improvement in video quality for my purposes. There is a small amount of comfort difference. The biggest improvement for me is the pass through. I don't have to remove the headset every I want to do anything else outside the vr headset. If you are an older person not into gaming I would suggest buying the quest2 and a BOBOVR headstrap. If you've never owned a VR headst you will love it. As a note, Audio Trip is 75% of my VR experience. It is the only way I enjoy exercising.

The Quest 3 is better in every aspect. FOV, Resolution, Controller, Mixed Reality, Lenses, Performance. The only reason to get a Quest 2 now, is money. If you can afford it get a Quest 3, there is not a single other reason not to.
I'm coming from the Rift S with a decent gaming PC and a >600€ GPU. The Quest 3 is so much better and I'm using it daily since release. It's hard to see a single pixel, which is the biggest improvement for me and boosts immersion.
Except battery the quest 2 last almost an hour longer
@@boomboombaby9140 I bought a big powerbank with power delivery (22 Watt for the quest 3) plus a bum bag. Q3 keeps 100% for hours.. idk how long I could play because it's longer than I want.

@@boomboombaby9140 just connect it to a powerbank with PD and simply put it in your pocket or in a belt pouch. Then you can play until the sweat runs down your forehead.. I mean, Apple does it that way, so why not doing the same?
True I bought the quest 2 recently and I only bought it to replace my broken valve index and Im currently using it as a pcvr so I really don't mind it being little worst because I mainly having it hooked up to my pc

I didn’t try any of them but it seems like they will not stop supporting the quest 2 since is the cheapest option for vr and if i want to buy my first one i will go q3 all day but if i have just the 250 i will go quest 2
the quest 2 has poor angles in shooting games, like u push left and it skips like 8 frames , is it like that on quest 3? in games like population 1, pls check it out and let us know Jasmine
I just bought the Quest 2 when I saw the price got marked down to $250. I owned the original rift previously, so it'll be nice to move to a headset that doesn't require base stations.
Well done video for the comparision between Quest2 and Quest3! BUT as a fact there is already a quest3 exclusiv! Townsmen VR released on the 4th of January and there isn`t a version for Q2 available (and not planed according to the developer)!

Patch world for quest2 definitely pushes quest beyond its capabilities and that’s when you end up needing a quest3 especially if you want to do extensive music performances and lab experiments/studios/shows while recording. Quest three is much more like having a desktop computer. I think that should help keep it around for a lot longer than the quest two

Bought quest 2 but if your new to vr like me be aware of motion sickness, ease into it, great experience so far worth the money can't wait until the screens get to be a crystal clear stage a few years away yet
Q3 is very clear. Not in mixed reality. But in a game it's pretty much there. Q4 will probably be at that perfected moment at least for clarity
@@themangastand8475 was going to go for the quest 3 but was almost double the price, I said I'd try the 2 for the price as its my first vr set, impressed so far so many things to do on it, I agree I'd say the 4th version will be a step up

Bought the quest 3 its weight realy made a difference for me .
Here's a crazy fact I didn't realize until later: The Quest 2 and Quest 3 are actually basically the same weight in grams! It's just the weight distribution and balance of Quest 3 that makes it feel lighter.

The quest 3 passtho is grainy color its like you are drinking and everything is off and battery life is way worse the quest 2 also its uncomfortable so you have buy strap that make the 3 way expensive then it should be m.r is cool but not awesome also probably going make quest 3 lite and coming to every body later is a cheaper the biggest is lens if put lens on the 2 then it will blast it out water my conclusions its all depends on you but psvr2 is the best gaming experience only down side is the lens but oled makes up in some way if its was 400 low and 500 for the more memory wound be a great price for the Consumer then i would Recommend but do you buy now waiting for a big sales or buy lite or buy the number 2 or if you have a ps5 then go for the psvr2 with the most Comfortable headset with mind blowing technology its the first one to have headset Haptic feedback haptic Controls and the cord give more raw power its not a problem unless you in big house or a mansion or you are Clumsy im excited for bc its getting better every year high end you got mid or stand one better then stand off lol

You can't beat the Quest 2. The Quest 3 is fine if you want wobbly color pass-through (it's not great but better than the quest 2)

smh. my quest 2 has been collecting dust and gives me a headache compared to my 3. the difference in FOV alone is worth the upgrade. both headsets have shitty ass cameras but atleast the quest 3 is useable.

Not a big enough improvement for me to purchase. vr is still in its infancy stages. I’ll wait another 5 years for vr to be indistinguishable from reality. 🤙
