I can hear so much bebop language in your playing, it's so nice!

Chris I just figured this out on my own but damn so cool to see I’m on the right track! Meaning the copying of ideas across the tonic and TT! Love it

Sometimes it’s nice to just ignore the lesson and listen to your lines. You had some great ones this video!

Great stuff, Chris! Perfect timing as I was practising moving from tritone to resolution this week and struggling to make it smooth. This way of doing it is so beautiful. Hope you're keeping well!

That is reasonable general guidance for tri-tones, but as always it works situationally. Take an example like "Out of Nowhere" that has dominants that move to a parallel 4th that will not reasonably support a tritone as well as a dominant that moves a half-step down to another dominant that supports a tritone substitution wonderfully. Rules all have exceptions! :)

Great video again Chris!! Could you have a backing track playing chords you explain? Be good to have a reference.

Chris mentions a Bb to Cmaj..... this has a similar function I think as Bb7s a family of the Cs V(G), so I guess its already a tritone of sorts but not really... the tritone of Bb7 here would be the 3 of the C but not a tritone. So Im thinking the tritone as Barry sees it is really Db of the C key.... are the family members thought of as a function of the V?

It isnt Better ti use the Sharp four when you use B7 as a tritone?

I know you are improvising when you continue from all your examples but it sounds so great. Are you just doing lines on the resolution? Maybe good to look more at the lines videos you made? I know its all there....I guess they sound like additional changes to me but are they like V to 1s?
