I remember playing this and dominating expert ai almost a decade ago and now I cant even beat hard mode
One thing that alot of British players may not know, but you can rally point a Manor when it is being built, and it will send the villager there when it is completed. So it helps with macro and keeping your idle villagers time to a minimum
Your videos has so much improving effect on playing. Expert AI was always defeating me until i watched your videos.Now I destroying the AI easily .Thankw you and you should keep going making videos ^^

I out eco most lvl 20 on the game but i sometimes i have still trouble beating expert mode

John Casper I have a general strategy written down or in my head, then the other part is as the game progresses! I'd say about 50/50!
John Casper Oh a AOE veteran here :D I first played it in 2006 but made 4 years pause from 2011 to 2015 :/, I loved to play AOE 1 vs AI, I did always build big cities and made streets with building stonewalls and destroying them, then it rly looked like you have streets :D

Any tips on wood late game because I usually make factories gen rockets
I am ususally spamming musks food/gold but when i still need longbows i run outta wood real quick
Also what about the fast houses card?
Graeme S In this game I had no wood in my area at all! So I had to be aggressive, and get walls early for map control. Once you get all your houses out, you should be able to easily. In my opinion the extra wood is way more worth the then the house card!
British Turtle Boom Keyboard Switch Strat
Bought the Complete Edition 2 weeks ago. I have plaied British before but got no tactics like yours at 19:22. Any clues why ?

Could you do a video with what you would do on a map with a lot of water, when you kinda have to use boats. Because I always lose because someone comes from behind me and destroys me, but when I try that it fails and I lose a lot of resources. Thank you.
tijs van der gun I probably could later. Normally I try to avoid water maps, because of that reason. I would recommend choosing maps that don't have water. You could also do a water turtle, like in my Portugal or Russia turtles, that requires you to get ships. Therefore it's easier to defend because it's a part of the strategy.

put verginia company in the deck :), and ship that as the 1st card, or as the second card if you build a tp with starting wood, it makes the boom way better :)

Your second card should have been the 700 gold you could have aged up way quicker then what you did, and got more houses in transition from age 1- age 2
Josh L You totally could. I wasn't sure if he was going to attack, so I didn't want to get caught short handed early on. Also, I had no woos nearby, so I desperately wanted that shipment in case he attacked.

Yep,this opposite player was noob too.played as dutch made only cavs i was expecting heavy artillery. I still remember facing dutch in hard mode. I was always winning easily building walls.ai was dumb couldn't destroy wall, i was winning on a canal in the middle map the all of sudden he sneaked attacked with cannon spam and boom my walls and fort gon in second even my cavs were blown away by twenty canons.
Ah then my rivalry begin with maurice and lost again could match his coin. The learnt ottoman fast fortress and culv spam. Even mamuluke could not save them.

what boom means?
3 types of strategy,
Rush , Boom and Turtle.
Rush is attack fast in early age. destroy eco .
Boom is attack longer but stronger, focus more on Eco than Rush.
Turtle is fully defense and wait till better than opponent and all out attack.
Rush crush Boom, Boom crush Turtle, and Turtle will crush rush with time,

SamuraiRevolution the Napoleonic era mod lets you play with Persians but even then they're not Arab. The only Arab units I know of in the game are the mamelukes.
I played alot of age 2 I have 230ish hrs and I came to age 3. Graphically looks nice I do like the skill tree, I do not like the trees. I get alof of maps that you have to really travel some times to get the wood and opponents use that to their advantage by hurrassing my wood cutters forcing me to scroll fast or quickly click to save them and obviously they die if I do nothing. It's frustrating at times. It's like water maps on aoe2 some maps were wood scarce. The beginning of this video was my frustration bud with no woods. Awful
Some maps are low on wood. If you are concerned, then I suggest playing a civ that uses little wood like the ottomans, Sioux, or Germany.
