as a Portuguese its extremely hilarious to me to hear a dude with such a stereotypical aussie accent talking about one of Portugal's most typical foods while cooking it. Love it

Like a previous comment stated, we smash the potatoes so that they can absorb the flavor, intact the peel would prevent it.

Next time, fact check. I'm all for listening to people's personal perspectives, but there were too many generalizations, little account for regional/cultural diversity, and outright BS. That 40 year-old dude's family introduced charcoal chicken in Portugal? How could you let that slide?

The tone of this video seems to imply that Portugal is a 3rd world nation. I’ve been there on several occasions for business and on holiday and find this country to be quite progressive and modern. Perhaps your contributors have never returned since the Revolution of the Carnations on April 25 1974. Portugal is far from a country of peasants without ovens!

dont mind the ignorance many countries, seems not to apreciate the simple way of life and only relationate to underadvanced countries only they donno we actually apreciate our own way of life with low consumism, we find our happiness while sharing food with family and friends other things too, and all that stuff than the material things thats an illusion when ppl think big on that they forget as fast they come as they go but good memories dont go so fast.

Lol. It is true that the expression is kinda weird and it isn't the first time i have heard it. Normally it tends to comes from people that are more "gourmet" inclined so i don't think it is really a derogative term (??). But even if it was, who cares? The more peasant the food is, the more we like it. Wherever the food came, we will be proud of its history and will ask for more 😁

The Bible doesn’t forbid us to drink alcohol, it tells us to be moderate with, after all Jesus did turn water into wine. The command not to eat pork, was for those living under the Mosaic Law, which us nowadays don’t live under it, we live under Christ’s Law.
