First thing I thought of after watching was how much I love these videos. You talked about heart issues and while I go to the heart doctor once a year for check ups what stood out right away was the "G" plan. Then you talked about eating out. Took my wife and son out to eat for Mother's day and with the tip the bill was $200.00. I am like you with credit cards paying it off every month. 65 still working at a job I love and will start collecting social security next January at 66 and 3 months my full retirement year. But I will keep working for a little longer and just put the checks in the bank which will be $2,900 a month. I came close to claiming at 62 because of the mind set it is my money. But so glad I waited. As for my portfolio, well I watched it grow all my life with a few bumps along the way but it always came back stronger. My issue is dealing with watching it go down when I have to start drawing on it because of RMD's. I would love to send you a copy of my son's cookbook for all you do for us. Just need a good address.

I've kept a budget most of my life. I used it to gauge when I could take retirement. I can't imagine living without budgeting, esp now that I AM retired.

Great info, BTW: I wait alot longer than 24hrs before purchasing anything significant, works rather well.
