You should make seat support surrounds so that it looks like the seats are mounted on Mountain Dew 12 packs , everyone will crack up when they see them
Should give mountain dew a call and see if they will allow you to paint the design on some sheet metal underneath the seats
Friend did a similar joke with beer cans. Filled with some construction foam the cans are holding up pretty well.
My company wouldn't allow the dorm sized refrigerators in offices. So a coworker cut the ends off of a couple of copy paper boxes and glued them to the refrigerator door. Looked just like a couple of boxes under his desk.
Hiw about a clear mini cooler under each seat with mtn dew in it for real.

I love how Matt tasted the strange/unknown substance that was all over the truck then knew it was fire extinguisher lol how does he know what fire extinguisher tastes like? also got a chuckle from his response when Lizzy just nonchalantly was like yeah we had a fire it was just little though...
9748 lbs - Agree that Matt's happy reaction indicates a lower weight than he thought! Bummed I missed you guys when I stopped by the shop, but hope you had a great SEMA. I did get to say hi to Lady and Peanut though, and Mattie is an awesome Greeter!
Hey Matt, thanks for taking us along on your recoveries. I’m guessing 11,000 lbs. looking forward to seeing it in action!
The fact that Peanut went to Matt for cuddles with no inhibitions whatsoever says it all. That's one happy puppy.🐕🐕❤❤~ 11,500 lbs~
"inhibitions" huh?, lol
@@jerryb1234 No hesitation in other words

I think I heard peanuts say, would you please hurry up I want to go for a ride !
@@whatrunway 10157 lbs.
8:47 Man, I wince and tense up every time Matt is grinding without eye 👁 protection. May your good luck continue 🙏 Sir.
Most painful injury I've ever had was a metal shaving in the eye 😲
You're going to tell a man what to do then say a metal shaving in your eye was your worst injury? Lmao
@@mfurrow81 he didn't say worst, he said most painful. And he is trying to prevent someone else,Matt included, from making the same mistake. I use my safety squints every time I grind.
Safety squints weren't rated for that type of grinding, eh
@@mfurrow81 You can't read or comprehend well 🤔 I never told anyone what to do. I said I wince when I see someone else doing what I did because it brings back memories of a painful eye injury. Good grief. Please try harder and not be so quick to criticize, be so negative.
@@lanesworld4000
I can read and comprehend just fine. I can also read between the lines. Tell me, what was the intention of your post? I know, it is 100% criticism and a round-about way of telling Matt how he should do things. Tell me I'm wrong. I'll wait.
10,050 So close to seeing this in action. Very exciting 😀. Thank you for bringing us all along on your journeys. Keep up the great work everyone! Travis.
It's good you're getting all stainless for your exhaust. I was stuck with "aluminized steel" Flowmasters on my old truck until I found Phillips stainless ones. The Flowmasters were junk and only lasted 3-4 years before rusting out. The truck looks great.
Lmao. "we just aren't going to tell Matt about this fire right?"
That was some major dad energy. "Huh"😂
Wrecker is looking amazing, can't wait to see it in action!!!💪 Matt "was there a fire", Lizzy "yes there was", Matt "Hmmmm" That look on Matt's face!!😳
I feel like there might have been a discussion about the fire when the camera was not rolling.
11450 pounds
That was so funny 🤣
9022 lbs, not really a lean machine can't wait to see it run. Love your channel folks, so much fun!
I really really love Matt’s off road recovery and the whole crew. I would totally love 💕 to meet all of you in person. Sometime soon. Love 💗 you guys so much.
9,857lbs, been loving watching the build of this beast. Love seeing a young kid like Lizzy getting into work like welding and fabricating, and just hands on work in general.
H h. H op q 3
I’ve been watching Matt’s off road recovery for the past 3 months and I have been hooked…..as far as my guess for the weight 12,250lbs the blue F-250 rear end was really low to the ground….WOW
She's absolutely precious... "Oh yeah, we had a little fire, and we put it out." 🤣🤣🤣
Great build! Love how well Lizzy is welding. Guessing 9,466 lbs.
10,181 pounds. I know builds aren't the main focus of the channel, but the Morrvair and the wrecker build, combined with the constant tweaks to the Banana, really show how well-rounded Matt and the rest of the crew are.
9678 lbs. You are one of the very few channels I’ve stuck with. I really enjoy the balance of the builds to meet the mission and the actual mission itself. Thank you for taking us along for the ride
10124
4,389,867 grams 😃
New F650 look good hauling that wrecker 🎉
Another humble and kind instructor.
Lizzy is such an awesome welder. I hope she is paid as good as she welds. I'm impressed with all her welds. You're so fortunate to have such a star welder
Lizzy is getting face time on YT . She could end up a movie star or announcer? Lets hope for the best for her.
@@REDMAN298 or she can end up on backpage
shes ok rudys 100x better
not really...she's alright, but honestly I was welding better at 13 years old...js
@@bane8305 yes but she's still a beginner and doing so great
9,888 lbs is my guess, and the fact the Lizzy thought to cover the opening on the starter as she was walking though the windy parking lot to keep the dust out, makes me love her even more!!
Yep, She's a Keeper...
11,200 - It's a beast of a beauty!
12480lbs, got to see the wrecker at SEMA, and took a photo of me with it. Love your channel and your amazing crew and friends. Was hoping to meet you or crew! Thank you
9,687lbs this build has had me excited and ready for every single video for updates! Can not wait to see it move under its own power! And see it on its first recovery! What a beast!
same
9,938 is my guess, Matt looked happy seeing the slip so I'm hoping it's as light as it possibly could be with him being the closest. Loved the tip and run off for the weighbridge lady too!
The Wrecker is such an amazing and unique build!! Seeing it loaded up on the trailer really shows the massive size. Major head turner.....😍
10,123 lbs. Looking great, can't wait to see it work!!
Best Hmmm Ever!
Like, so they cleaned up all evidence of a fire and conveniently forgot it ever happened? So funny you guys. Golden content!
I am guessing 8675lbs. I think it is much lighter than most think it is. Whatever it weighs, it is going to be a beast of a tow truck!
10,027. It’s really coming along nicely! I also want to throw a vote in for the name. The Warthog. Those pseudo recovery hooks in the front give it a warthog look to me. Can’t wait to see it in action!
You were close
This has become my favorite channel by far! The world's largest off road wrecker weighs 10,056 lbs.
The look on Matt's face when he got the weight ticket was like a kid at Christmas. I think it came in lighter than he was hoping when he planned the build.
I was thinking the same thing or it was almost spot on of what he guessed.
I noticed that as well and was thinking the same thing.
I think he was really close.
Looks great $10,868 lb
I love how he throws the cash at her and walks away before she can give it back. "You don't need to do that..." "I know!"
9850 lbs. Your fabrication skills are amazing, Matt, and the folks you have working for you are so talented. Lizzie is truly becoming an amazing welder!
10,125lbs. Killer tow rig!
That thing looks tough, 10,031 lbs of fury!
My guess would be 5080 Kg or 11,199 lbs. I think you've underestimated how all those little bits of heavy metal add up. Thanks for all the great video's! Even in Holland (where off-road in whatever form doesn't exist) you've got fans 🙂
Just in case you don't know that's not Matt or anyone from MORR if you DM them the only thing they have for you is a scam
Holland! Fans! I get it! It's a windmill joke!!
@@earthling7355 👍😂
@@jonaustin4423 thanks!
9,273 lbs. judging by Matt's reaction to the wight slip, I think it turned out lighter than expected! 😃
I thought the same thing. He had that "I can add another 1k lbs to this puppy" look on his face. ;O)-
11,420 pounds
I don't know it was really sagging their Ford truck that thing's pretty heavy, at least in the front it is.
9978
@@dedalliance1 that is where the engine is though so most of the weight is gonna be on the front of the trailer
9,966 lbs. An awesome build.
10,895 lbs. enjoying the build.
10,050 lbs! …..plus or minus 1/2 lb if there are a few Mountain Dews stowed away in the glove compartment! Loving every step of this build. And if I saw this beast driving down the trail, I would just HAVE TO follow it to see what adventures it is happening. Thanks MORR team!
I always enjoy watching Lizzy's attitude when it comes to welding, she is always wanting to learn more and her attitude shows her willingness to learn. Your wrecker is going to at least win best in show. I will guess the heavy wrecker weighs 10,024 lbs.
I think the heavy wrecker weighs in at 8,990 lbs
Who got stoned?
9834 lbs. That thing is awesome!
10876.5 pounds of awesome and I'm guessing that's without fuel and recovery goodies in the work boxes. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the ride
Enjoy the video as always, great that you're always willing to change plans as you go along. I'm going to say 8,876 lbs, and I think Blue Steel needs some helper bags in the back now lol
I guess 8,246 pounds. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! Love the way Lizzy is ready to learn different things like the different types of welding, she is not afraid of it or getting her hands dirty.
9840lbs. awesome job looks amazing
"There was a little fire, but we put it out" "Hmm" 🤣
9,352 Lbs. Can't wait to see this in action. I feel like the only way you could lose the tow truck olympics would be a lack of seat time in a rear steer vehicle that isn't broken down. Love to see the build and I can't wait for kits to build your own heavy wrecker to actually hit the market, lol!
9750 lbs ... regardless of the weight ... it looks FANTASTIC. Can't wait to see it running and doing it's thing.
Hi Matt, great wrecker!!! Love it (Unimog axles would have helped ground clearence though... But I am biased, being a Unimog guy). BUT: keep in mind, the way the geometries are (angle and lenght of crane arm) leads to a force at the pivot point of the arm (pivot point at the rollbar-like frame behind the cab) that will be higher that the weight you are towing. Do the math applying parallelogram of forces. E.g. with the arm elevation being 30°, the factor would be about 1.7. I am not sure your rollbar type pivot will hold this without having an additional support to the rear frame. Depends of course how much weight you want to lift.
Keep on doing what you do!!!
Weighing in at 10,333 lbs this is the most awsome off-road wrecker! 💥
Can't get enough of this channel! Always gives me the itch to try to build something. That wrecker is going to be sweet bombing around in the dunes and crawling up tails with all of its 9128 lbs of steel!
9999 lbs. I love how Matt is putting all this effort into his dream and his work tool but when the driver seat is finally installed he tells Lizzy to get in and tell him how it feels while he sets up the passenger seat for his chance to feel it. Thanks for sharing.
That was smart on his part, Lizzy looks better on camera lol
It was very nice to see a young person ( Lizzy) who's eager to learn and not intimidated. 👍
Go guys you are a joy to watch! I hope it is 9,652 lbs.
I can confirm those mufflers are fantastic. I had them on my 454 V8 swapped Jaguar XJ, and they were perfect. They've got a low profile for tight filament plus a great tone and rumble but not loud enough to wake the dead (or more importantly, annoy the neighbors).
Matt looked very happy about the weight so I'm guessing she's lighter then he anticipated! Awesome build, its going to work good on the trail. 9623 lbs
All you guys are my favorite channel to watch. The wrecker is an amazing piece of engineering work. I'm guessing the weight at 9988 pounds
10,024 lbs for the heavy wrecker. I love this build and wish you luck at SEMA.
8,888 lbs! 🙂 I have no idea how much that awesome machine weighs, but that was a HUGE smile on Matt's face at 17:47 when he saw the number, so I'm guessing it's GOOD! Keep up the great work MORR!!
10,110 lbs. An amazing build for sure! Can't wait to see it in action!
The wrecker tips the scales @ 10,025. Looks great can't wait to see it in action.
This is crazy. This is not really my thing, but I can't stop watching this channel. Great stuff.
9,119 lbs. Got to see this thing in person right before you hauled it off to SEMA and you guys are doing awesome work, keep it up!
10,023 lbs. Great video. Nice to see the wrecker coming along so well. Can't believe how cool it's looking and what a great job you all are doing!!!! FANTASTIC!!!
Do us all a favor Matt and get yourself a Diamond C tilt deck trailer designed and built for that heavy truck. It’ll be the best investment you buy.
I guess, 10,450lbs. It looks great and I cant wait to see the finished product! Good job MORR team.
Something that may help with the cab removal would be to coat the hardware in solid film lubricant. We use it in aviation for spots like that and it helps significantly. The Sandstrom brand is good. If you use it, only apply enough to change the bolt color because of the added diameter.
Also guessing 11,500 lbs
Aviation lubricant? Cool!
My brother put a jet engine in his Mustang last spring, and the chicks really dig him.
I haven't made it all the way through the video yet, but it looks like the size of your solid cab lift bar is less than the tube. From a bending load perspective the most stress is at the top and bottom (which is why I beams work), so solid bar won't give you much of an improvement and might be a step backward if it's smaller. I suggest sleeving the small tube with a larger size and just leaving 6" or so to insert into the cab pockets then weld the sleeve to the smaller tube all the way around. That will make it much more resistant to bending and less likely to smash your toes if you drop the bar!
I guess it's 9,747 lbs. Love watching the progress on the wrecker!
Matt's. Off road recovery Team is doing a good job on the wrecker 👍👍👍👍👍👍
9123.5 lbs. Really enjoying this build and watching Lizzy's progress as a welder :)
Love the .5
me 2. I really enjoy watching this channel every time they put one out along with Robbie Laytons and Fab Rat channels.
She's getting so good at laying those beads!!! Beautiful work!!
Hey Matt, I know you didn't do it to hear this but much respect for doing what you did for that women. It's awesome to see how much of a good dude you truly are, not only for the recoveries you do.
Good catch.

@@bigredc222 yeah he was slick about it.
10,035 lbs Can’t wait to see it finished
9481lb! Can’t wait to see it off the road!!!
This is a great build being done very well, Matt seems to have a lot of patience dealing with everyone and training them
9150 lbs. Always fun to watch, great attitude, great exploits, catching it all in how to “get out” during offroad adventures. Love to watch the builds.
What a coincidence! I named my hammer “good positive attitude”too!!
I'm 74 years old. I hope I live long enough to see this wrecker out there actually doing recoveries...
I’m thinking around 8850. Watching you guys build stuff like this always amazes me.
9424 lbs, definitely excited for the rest of this build and seeing it do work, by far my favorite channel to watch. Keep up the great work.
10,078 lbs. This thing is awesome!
10,356 lbs. Saw this in person back in September. Maddie was awesome and let us in to see the rigs and grab some merch as we were just passing through. Sucked that we missed you though.
I’m going to say 9,948lb. Loving the build! Keeps me motivated on my projects. I can’t believe how your untreated steel doesn’t rust. I’m close to the ocean and even stuff I paint rusts!
12,220. You put a lot of steel into that beast. Not to mention the heavy tires and winches. I think people are guessing too low.
I got the chance to see it in real life. Super heavy 11324 lbs. Love the build videos!!
You’ve done incredible work so far and I cannot wait to see all of the recoveries with the largest off-road wrecker. Also, the Olympics that are coming up with you, trail-mater, and Paul from Fab Rats is going to be a hoot!
My guess is 8735 lbs. Only reason I say that is because you’ve still got work to do, and you’re still going to be adding liquids and additional weight. Good luck with finishing the build in time for the show!
My guess is 10,028 piunds
It's been great watching this build! I used to do some welding for work years ago and always enjoyed it. Makes me want to do some welding again! I can't wait to see how quickly Lizzy picks up TIG welding. My guess for the weight of the wrecker is 10,045 lbs.
Awesome rig! Old school and high tech! 9654lbs.!!!!!
Great build. I have been enjoying watching your problem solving and creativity. I guess 10,416lbs
Love it ! Seeing this wrecker come to life one weld at a time is amazing thanks Matt and crew ! If I had to guess on weight I bet it came in lighter than you thought thus far ... 8,850lbs ...I'm guessing lighter because of the huge smile it said nobody is going to guess this weight lmao ... personally I'm hopeful I'm right as we know weight on sand you wanted lighter the better ...
9287 lbs...y'all are killing it, love watching every recovery and the World's Largest Recker Build.
Peanut said Cuddle now !!! XD Love the videos mat i been binging this series :)
I'm thinking the wrecker's going 10,231#, and you need some work lights still! Nice work, definitely a cool build!
12,091 lbs! Loving your videos, keep 'em coming!
I'm gonna say it's 10,048 as it was that day and guess 11,375 completed with fuel, tools, recovery gear, crew,Camara equipment and lunches. Im a huge fan and love watching everything y'all do.
10,064 lbs. Can't wait to see the wrecker in action!
That beast is sweet!! Late to the party but I'm guessing 10,600. Well done, great build and videos.
