"Angel in the Snow" was written by Paul Waaktaar-Savoy as a wedding present for his wife, Lauren. It is a tradition at Norwegian weddings for the groom to profess his love for the bride in a unique way.

My brother died a month ago...huge a-ha fan too since we were 13...made a photo DVD with this song at his funeral...and his fave Early Morning. God, I miss him a lot. He loved Morten so much, even had the same birth day & month, & wore leather bracelets like him, and styled his hair the same. I love this song...my fave!

my mother and uncle were huge a-ha fans growing up. when they came to melbourne on their tour in 1986, they used both of their pocket money to save up tickets to go to their concert. in the end, they could only afford one. and my uncle let my mum sneak out of the house to the city to go see them. and it was one of the best moments of her life.
but that was the only chance my uncle would've got to see them in concert, as he died in 2015, 5 years before they would tour australia again.
this song played at his funeral. my mum misses him every single day, and thinks about how much her brother would've loved to go see a-ha.
