@@cringecringe4342 If we take QBs out of the equation and you ask who is the best team in the league. Its the 49ers and its not close. If you put Mahomes. Allen. Burrow, Lamar and probably about 5 more QBs on the 49ers they go 17-0 winning every game by 40. The 49ers are so stacked that them not winning the Superbowl is atrocious.
I can say with 100% certainty that if you replaced Purdy with the Prince, Nick would be saying that all that matters is that he won...and I can't take Greg seriously with anything he says about QB's after he told us all that he was rocking with the Broncos and Russel Wilson and that Daniel Jones was elite.

To top it off Mahomes has only played little over half a decade. It’s total disrespect for the people who did it before in a tougher quarterback era. Mahomes is the best of active quarterbacks with his body of work but Mahomes needs at least a couple more Super Bowls and a few more years under his belt before we even start having this discussion (which is hard to even compare to begin with as Montana played in an era where they could hit quarterbacks both high and low running at full speed and where hitting defenseless receivers were considered part of the game making it much harder to throw the ball). Not to mention it was much harder to have a long career as a franchise Qb compared to today.
I love Lamar, but put Ben last on that Chart Again until Lamar makes even an SB appearance.

Also I would argue he hasn’t even played enough years in the league to be considered (unless he had a career like Mahomes with multiple Super Bowl wins), still has a losing playoff record, and hasn’t won a Super Bowl. Taking nothing away from the guy as he’s amongst the best QBs in the league but it’s much better to make a claim once a QB has truly earned it. I think even reasonable Ravens fans would admit this as Lamar has a legitimate chance to win a Super Bowl this year and can win both MVPs. Once that happens maybe we can discuss him being amongst the top 15.

Montana played in an era of brutal attacks on the QB. He is definitely on top of the Hill.
Exactly but it’s hard to compare quarterbacks from different eras. It’s hard because it was so different from today’s league. Quarterbacks statistics weren’t highly inflated and franchise QB careers weren’t nearly as extended as they are today. I remember entire body bag games where multiple quarterbacks were put on stretchers any given game. You could hit quarterbacks both high and low and fold them up like a pretzel back then if you wanted. One of the ugliest injuries I ever saw was Joe Theisman getting his leg snapped on a low hit that ended his career that would of expelled any defensive player today in the league had they played in today’s league. Quarterbacks playing before the 90s were just built different (The 90s were tough too on quarterbacks compared to today). Things really started getting soft for quarterbacks in the 2000s with constantly added rules over time to protect quarterbacks and receivers to open up the passing game.

@@joesebol1425 The 70s was the age of defensive dominance, running the ball and 3 yards and a cloud of dust. You can argue that era was even harder to quantify than even the 80s when compared to the modern league. I think Bradshaw retired with more interceptions than touchdowns and yet he had good statistics for his era. The 70s era was simple but also brutal and barbaric compared to today.
Brady played his early career in a brutal era and won multiple Super Bowls as well. NFL stats didn’t begin to spike until about 2011, and then even moreso in 2018.
The 49ers have the worst offensive line in the playoffs but all people talk about is the QB. You say Goff is good if he doesn't get pressured, yet not when Purdy is being pressured. The right side of their offensive line is a wreck. Colton McKivitz is not very good.
I am just praying that the Chiefs VS. the 49ers in the Superbowl and Purdy somehow wins the SB and Finals MVP.

Not really. Chiefs had a 3rd string offensive line due to all the injuries. And all the receivers apparently didn’t want to catch anything. One of Mahomes famous throws being parallel with the ground, hitting Tyreek Hill in the face mask while standing in the end zone. That Super Bowl was so lopsided.
It was back to back superbowls for the chiefs, plagued with injuries
