- If you've ever been lucky enough to experience (and it is an experience) Francesca Hayward dancing on stage in Swan Lake, on cinema screens as the elegant Victoria in Cats, or even simply on your Instagram feed in the hauntingly beautiful Where We Are short film, you'd understand why ballet dancers are often described as perfect.
It's a very real pressure that the actress, Royal Ballet principal dancer and friend of Chanel has felt over the years. ‘As a ballet student you’e definitely expected to look neat and tidy and presentable,' Hayward told ELLE UK while shooting our latest Beauty Truths episode.
In our latest episode of Beauty Truths Hayward talks foundation shades, self-esteem and stage make-up.

She is such an amazing dancer, not just technical skills but the emotion she creates with her face and body. I actually CRIED watching her dance once it was so beautiful!
Did you see her live?
I liked that comment about make-up: "It makes you like yourself more!" Very nice idea.
Super polite and cordial. A lovely lady.
Miss Hayward is so true and so honest. I feel the same especially as a ballet dancer as well. Makeup can really change things for us.
2021 & she still makes my heart throb.
Wonderful dancer and stunningly beautiful young woman.
She is such a natural beauty. Adore her!!
Only knew her for the ballet, she’s a very elegant person
Francesca, you are stunningly beautiful with and without make-up. I have always wondered whether they actually teach you how to apply stage make-up for various rolles at White Lodge and other ballet schools?
loved it! definitely a fave and one of my huge inspirations
Still have so much to learn but moving away from having it too bright - my earlier videos on my channel the make up just didnt work👍🏽
She looks and sounds like Jade from Little Mix! If they had the same accent they'd practically be the same person😱😂😍😍😍😍💗💘
