    I’ve had mine since 2019, no issues with the stand and corrosion. I put R&G’s double skin on mine from day one, zero chips and I’ve done 15k mainly in Europe!
    Once it was out of warranty I had it remapped, she’s now got 222bhp at the back wheel and it’s still ultra reliable… In fact I did Italy two up for two weeks, faultless Kawasaki wizardry👌🏽

    Another great, honest review. I'm sorry to hear about your shoulder issue. I think you may be gripping the bars too tightly which is where the shoulder issue is coming from. I'm 61 and have ridden over 30,000 miles on my H2 SX SE Performance Tourer, including some 10+ hour days, across France, over the Alps, Dolomites, Pyrenees and Picos, with no issues beyond the need for an air seat cushion to ensure a comfortable bum. I've had road lean angles of well over 45 regularly so there is lots more your bike can do safely and comfortably. My MY2024 H2 SE SE Performance Tourer arrives today to replace my 2019 bike. I'll let you know what I think of the Spin app but I have a friend with a MY2022 H2 SE SE and he's not impressed.

      Hey buddy thank you for commenting. You’re dead right, I was holding on too tightly as I didn’t have any tank pads and subconsciously didn’t want to ruin the paint. The rides much easier now I’ve addressed the issues so I hope I’ll be good going forward. Would love to travel Europe. Good luck with your new one pal and I look forward to you’re verdict 🫡

    Nice review 👍 I've had my 2018 for 11 months now and have put a little over 5000 miles on it. I tried the Powerbronze screen but it just deflected the air from my chest to my head so I put the original back as it was too noisy. Average mpg is around the low 40s. Also have Road 6s on mine - also have them on my Sprint ST 1050 - have only used them since the 4s were released. Sounds like I'm not missing anything with the app(!) or the digital dash or the keyless ignition but I quite fancy the electronic suspension. Quite lumpy at low revs - definitely considering a remap to smooth things out. I'm 6'4" and the reach is fine but I find the legs a bit cramped after a while in the seat.

    Manufacturers used to always put helmet locks standard on their bikes. I bought the oem lock also. Pain to put on and as shown in your pics the helmet would hit the peg bracket! I had to get an extension cable. There are bar risers available and raise bars about 1.5 inches. I also put Knight pegs that lower them 1 inch.

    Great long term review Dave , infact it was you and chopsy, that made my mind up to get one , totally agree about the apps ,awful, just needed to be andriod based , on the suspension front , I agree its so important, I'm going to have mine set up for me by MH suspensions Chippenham, they do the kawasaki suspension days at greenham Common kawasaki, Chippenham is just closer ,as for the road 6 tyres ,night and day between them and the s22s ,if your looking for paint protection have a look at covertech midlands ,as for camera try insta 360 range ( for you as a vlogger have a look at the pro ace ) i use a x3 and that's awesome mate ,I found to get the snatcy throttle out of the way I use a higher gear than I've had to on any other bike ,especially in town 3rd or 4th ,did you find that ?, I smile every time I ride it ,thanks again for a great review

    Hi Dave, I was excited and able to connect to the apps on the bike. However, like you I found their usefulness lacking. Too difficult to get navigation working so I removed everything and use my phone like you.
    As for getting a tune no one has one yet as there is not enough bikes using the new Bosch ECU. I believe SLR tuning are the only ones actively trying.
    My only complaint about bike you didn't mention is the heat that comes off supercharger onto legs when stuck in traffic although it is nice on cold days 😊

  • @AdamForeman
    @AdamForeman Před 4 měsíci +1

    Going back to what I was saying yesterday about the risers, Chopsy did the same thing on his H2 for the exact same reason. He added the tank pads/grips for the same reason to alleviate the pressure off his wrists, but he also changed his seat as well to a much more softer comfortable seat to alleviate/cushion the bumps due to the suspension. Not sure if last year's version would fit your 2023, probably not. But it looks like a lot of companies make them for the same reason. The H2 SX SE is much more of a sports Tourer than the H2. But even Chopsy agrees it's a harsh riding position unless you're using it as a track bike

    I just got one a few days ago, got through full tank in 90m and same on the way back nearly ran out!! Filled it to the brim both times, but not as bad as my H2 2015 on the same route, I've used it twice and each time have a stone chip, I think kawasaki are having problems with paint adhering to primer? Side stand taken off, coffmans shorty pipe saves a bit of weight 😅 but I must say I'm very impressed with the bikes capabilities its a cross between my h2 2015, for exeleration × dna, zzr14 comfort & touring grunt, gen3 busa low to midrange tourque & high speed stability, honda blackbird xx6 for smoothness good fueling & stealth and weight stability off all. Don't feel like you should have to move to an adventure bike because of your age. I'm 53 and I love sports tourers. The idea of adding a riser is an excellent idea. In fact it will transform it into more of a true tourer than its sports side. However, if your shoulder is not healing the way you need it to be, an adventure bike is probably the way to go. But I seriously think talking to the aftermarket manufacturers about making a riser, would be best of both worlds and removes the hassle of having to sell your bike just because of the handlebar position.
