Great video - very clear, thank you. I can't understand the negative, sometimes vitriolic, comments when someone like yourself takes the trouble to help for free.
It's not a bad idea doing it this way. On my ebike you have to disassemble quite a bit to get the cable from the motor free to actually be able to remove the wheel completely. There is NO nearby connector that you can free you have to disconnect the cable all the way at the hub box.
I can't believe the power cable going to the hub don't have a disconnect so the only way to change my tire or tube is using this method thanks and good instructions 👍
I had my doubts about this but the alternative involved dismantling the wiring on my bike so.. a bit of jiggling about and a couple of mistakes by me but I got it done and next time will be easier, so, thank you.

Yes my boyfriend as well, he rode it like 3 or 4 times then he got a flat tire. Now we are still wondering where to even find a tire that small and how to install it. The bike cost so much, you think it could last years or months like how a car tire seems to last and find those tires mostly anywhere.
It can work, if you have the proper materials, etc. Slime tubes can be great. I also always use a tire liner on top of my tube to give extra protection.
@@VilanoBikes I just used this approach on my lectric Xp and it worked perfectly. The Xp has a metal bracket on each side that has to be unscrewed in order to free the wheel so that you can raise it and remove the tube. On one side it is the derailleur guard and on the other it is a small metal tab.
@@patinacio5032 That's great! We do not have this model in our warehouse, so cannot say anything about it. I'm glad it worked and appreciate you taking the time to watch. Be well.
There are some models, like this older one, that require you to remove electrical connections. It can be easier, based on models like this, to not remove the entire wheel.
The only problem I have with this video is you replaced the inner tube, but you didn't show how to repair the outside tire. Also where can you find these small wheels, I need a 16 inch and online those are hard to find, for an Ancheer bike, the site for them doesn't even sell bike parts for that size yet they sell bikes like that? It's weird.
Hi Tammie, the tire is easier to replace, and a bike tire video should work for most ebike models. For 16", get the measurements from the tire (like on a a car) and search online. Good luck with the change.
Finally....somebody gets it....just get the part of the tube with the problem and patch it....no need ( most of the time to remove or even loosen the tire....fixed my own flats when i was a little kid....all these vids over think the problem......to put a new tube in is a different story.

I'm surprised no one invented a rubber that doesn't get punctured or get holes like they did with unbreakable glass.

Do you trust repairing flats, or, just replacing? Also, how do you feel about using something to clog holes? Like Slime?
It can work, if you have the proper materials, etc. Slime tubes can be great. I also always use a tire liner on top of my tube to give extra protection.
this also works for ancheer bikes, just tested it myself thanks

Yes but these ebike tubes should be replaced with Slime self sealing tubes saving you from having to continue to do this. But your point is valid.
