90% eligible citizens of Bhutan have been vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine 💉
Bhutan rolled out the national COVID-19 vaccine across the kingdom at more then 1200 vaccine centers.
Bhutan is all set to begin the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination.
According to the Health Minister, the doses of Covishield were distributed across the country with strict monitoring. The doses were directly shifted from the airport to the central warehouse which is next to the national referral hospital in Thimphu and was stored in walk-in coolers.
Total infections stand at 870 with one death from COVID-19 since the pandemic began, according to government data.
Ninda Dema, a 30-year-old woman born in the year of the Monkey as per the Buddhist astrology, became the country’s first to receive the shot at a school-turned vaccination centre in the capital Thimphu, an event that was televised live.
Buddhist years are named after 12 animals like goat, rooster, pig and religious followers believe that people born in the year of the Monkey are inventive and can solve even the most difficult problems rather easily.

Well! 93% of eligible Bhutanese adults had got their first dose already in record time. More then 472,139 people between ages 18 and 104 got AstraZeneca covid jabs. It works wonderfully and some people did get some side effects also, but no death and as a vaccines there are only some side effects but all are fine and well. Thanks to Modi Ji, India Govt and the people of India.
