Moira has the highest healing per second and good survivability
But she has no utility like other supports and she’s resource dependent if she runs low at the wrong time it’s a death sentence for someone
Also for experimental orb maybe instead take a note from mirrorwatch, the orb could give an ally temporary life steal

Love the experimental orb concept. Overwatch is SEVERELY lacking on enabling supportive ability.
Also any discussion on moira needs the "resource management talk", as her healing meter is frankly ridiculously easy to manage and unintrusive if you choose to ignore it. It needs to take longer to drain and to get back, as well as some sort of way to dump it for immediate value, conscious of not being able to use it afterwards. I think pressing the second button while holding the first one mauga style for a powered up version that drains a lot of meter would be a good solution, and maybe powered up succ could be a melee that recharges a LOT of meter at the cost of being risky and not doing as much damage.
Love the ideas 👏 coal especially feels a little lackluster of an ult and having choices in it is a lot better

Here are some proposed modifications to Moira's abilities:
**Primary Attack:** Moira's primary attack would now function similarly to a taser, firing three tethered projectiles that attach to a target. If missed, moira would have a 1.5 second "reload." Once attached, Moira's attack would function as it currently does. This change would provide Moira with a skill shot to attack enemies rather than simply pointing the camera at them.
**Primary Heal:** Moira's primary heal would continue to function as it currently does.
**Heal Orb:** The heal orb would now detonate upon contact with an ally, releasing an ankle-high fog of healing in an area of effect.
**Damage Orb:** The damage orb would now be lobbed like Zarya's secondary fire. Upon landing, any enemies near the orb would be anchored to it and slowed by 20%. These tethers could be easily broken by moving in one direction for two seconds.
**Fade:** Fade would continue to function as it currently does.
**Coalescence:** Coalescence would retain its current visual appearance but would additionally slow enemies by 5% while in the beam and replenish 3% of total ammunition and health of allies per second.

Increase the damage remove the auto lock. She’s the only character who still has it on her primary fire. This simple tweak would basically fix her. Increase cooldown on fade too.
Ye exactly this is what I've been saying for years 😂🤣. Also I was thinking when she uses her damge orb it will have a 2 or 3 second higher cool down and when she uses her healing orb the cool down is the same.
Really good video, I think a lot of those changes would be really fun to play around with. I think giving players more choices on Moira could really help her skill curve and frankly make her less boring. I always hated that all she could do is damage/heal in all of her abilities aside from fade. I just felt like the low/nonexistent utility made her boring for me to play and to have on my team. I probably wouldn't mind having her on my team as much with the utility changes you suggested. It would make it so much easier to tell the good Moiras from the bad ones and I think that's healthier for the game.
played Moira in ranked, got placed in Diamond off of placement matches, and that was my first time playing ranked as a "support", definitely an easy character
Keep playing Moira only and see how far it takes you and see if you still think the same
@@unothegawdx2808 I did, and stayed at diamond, and I know people hate hearing this from Moira's, but I always got gold damage, gold kills, and basically every gold medal, she's not hard, and she's not weak, I'd say what makes her so strong to me is her mobility, specifically being able to basically stop existing while also moving really fast, getting extra jump height, makes it really hard to catch her, all while she throws out her healing orbs and damage orbs

@@unothegawdx2808 well no, but I don't really play overwatch anymore, game is garbage now, but the few times I do reinstall it and play it for a couple days and then get bored, Moira still feels the same as she did

@@fettbub92 fr like they preached 5v5 like it’s a better game and would fix so much, and now the game is less diverse and characters like Moira and roadhog are dominating even harder in lower ranks than 6v6💀💀but the moment WE want to format changed all of the sudden it’s stupid. Bro 5v5 was the original stupid rushed decision with no plan in mind then to just pump tank numbers.

5v5 people are so desperate to protect 5v5 they preempt complaints from 6v6.
Simple fix: Increase fade cooldown. Increase her damage but remove the auto lock. Give her the Symetra treatment with her weapon. I think she’d be perfect with these simple tweaks.

Id like to think of adding a mercy style scroll wheel to help her switch between normal Moira and last april fools patch Moira using the same resource meter between both modes. Allowing you to do constant healing or constant damage. Buuuut this would probably make the character mostly unchanged or just awful to fight
for your experimental orb idea I'll suggest 2 new status effect:
Quick adaptability: An ally hit with experimental orb will copy every buff effect of any enemy in a small radious around it (ex: increased healing, clence, speed boost, dmg boost, nano)
Quick decay: An enemy hit with experimental orb will spred his negative effects on any enemy in a short radius. (discord, antiheal, stun, ecc...)
