he's that good an actor...to me ii didn't even occur that this would be his normal voice...his voice as frank is so natural and doesn't feel like he's putting on a show at all, sometimes even the best of actors mess up the voice part, christian bale who is an amazing actor sometimes puts on that extra effort to roughen his voice up and it kind of shows obviously like in the terminator movie he did, with jon however it felt so natural

The biggest throw off for me was Jessica Jones voice vs Ritter's. You know the character and the actor are different. That goes without saying, but Jessica jones and Ritter couldn't be more polar opposite. They're like either sides of the extreme.

I think it's commendable he doesn't just rely on getting in character on set only. He goes the extra mile by preparing ahead of time, which shows true passion.
He was amazing as punisher in daredevil.
Some of his lines with Charlie Cox were absolutely amazing - some of the best intense dialogue scenes ever.
Great to see him in this interview - he has a lot of range - would love to see him in a variety of roles.

I can’t believe how different Jon is in real life from the punisher! he really becomes a whole separate person on camera. Also kudos to kimmel’s interviewing skills, I haven’t watched much of his show but he clearly is really good at making the guest feel comfortable and glosses over questions that the interviewee doesn’t have a lot to say about

Jon Bernthal is a legitimate badass. The reason why his Shane and his Punisher were so good and so believable, is because he's pulling from his real life experiences. He came dangerously close to murdering a man and spending the rest of his life behind bars. Then a month later he was cast in the Walking Dead, and his life changed forever. He's done a complete 180. So don't let the nice guy voice fool you. He's a dark dude with a dark past, and he can flip it like a switch.
