Lexapro to Prozac Switch - Day 1 (Escitalopram to Fluoxetine)

- This year has had a lot more twists and turns on my medication journey than I would have expected. Although Lexapro (escitalopram) was a great drug for my anxiety and depression, it's caused me a bothersome side effect. So now I'm switching over to fluoxetine (Prozac). The cross tapering process will take three weeks!

I have been on 80mg of Prozac for over 30 years. I am 63. Sorry to say but Prozac does the same thing. Perhaps not as bad as others. The absolute worst is Clomipramine (Anafranil). It stops everything.
Do lexapro tighten your tummy I feel like am not hungry is taken my appetite am on 5mg is my 7day

Damn bro I hate switching meds. I can't imagine switching as much as you have in the past few months since I've subscribed lol 😢 You look well enough honestly but My Dr. In California said to me before that ussually if you're stable on an SSRI type of medication but have sexual side effects. The standard protocol is to add wellbutrin and taper up until the desired outcome is achieved. Why not ask about trying the welly and lexy combo?
Thank you! Yup if the switch over to Prozac doesn't do the trick I'm definitely going to ask about that (I've had bad experiences with Wellbutrin before but mostly because I have terrible self discipline and kept adding caffeine on top of it). Appreciate the advice and thanks for watching!
How’s Prozac doing
Prozac was a pretty bad experience for me. Gave me a lot of anxiety, insomnia, agitation. Was quite taken aback given that Lexapro was pretty plain sailing. I'm now on fluvoxamine / Luvox.
Both bad for Anxiety
I've had a lot of success with Lexapro for anxiety (personally). Prozac, however, was horrible for me.
Any advice about switching from Lexapro to Cymbalta?
I can't offer medical advice. But I've also never taken an SNRI so have none to offer either way!
