TotalBiscuit and AngryJoe embark upon a multiplayer adventure in XCOM: Enemy Unknown. This was filmed at AngryJoe's house during TotalBiscuit's trip to Austin, Texas.

I come back to this video once every few years. Absolutely adore these xcom versus matches, one of my favourite TB videos. I will always remember them.

Watched this video years ago, and was actually one of the main factors in influencing my decision to play the game - it looked so fun, and it was.
Miss the days when I was a big Angry Joe fan, and miss TB.

As soon as it's done. The editing is a bit time consuming, having to juggle the two perspectives, add the turn markers, switch the audio from one player to the other... it's fiddly. I've had a really busy day, I'm gonna try and get the remaining matches done tomorrow so Joe can upload one on Wednesday.
both guys made massive tactical errors, TB's unwillingness to part with his mind controlled dude cost him the game, had he just killed him, joe's commander would have been on cooldown and he really had no heavy hitters
And he didn't have a sniper with squadsight. If his sniper had climbed to the roof he could have sniped the sectoid commander because when he did the run and gun on the sectoid his assault could see the commander.
You have no imagination. Also it would probably have been a waste of time to try and kill such a high health soldier.

I think it would have been awesome if they made the multiplayer a little different in the way that you play it like the campaign one player as humans and the other as the aliens. Only the objective should be to take land/provinces of the world by winning games and gaining upgrades as you go. The aliens win if they conquer the planet, humans win if they erase all alien presence from the planet. After a battle game, You could go to your base stage and begin an upgrade turn based on a time limit of so many days before you can attack again. But this will probably never happen.

It's really weird listening to this video with just one working earphone.
I hear TB's and Joe's voice through the same mic, and 90% of the video I don't hear Joe at all.
Gotta get new headphones I guess.
Same problem... A matter of fact, when I just plugged up speakers instead of my headphones, even the speakers did that! My left speaker spoke Angry Joe and the right one spoke TB. Do you know how weird that is? It's like they're trapped inside the speakers and take turns talking to each other, it's actually really cool.

I really liked all the new stuff they added in Enemy Within but I feel like playing Within was WAy way easier than Unknown..
Just played the last mission and beat the boss in 1 turn. Didn't mean to... but all i did was throw one of those mind storm things at him and then on his turn he tried to mind control me and the neural feedback gene mod thing on my soldier killed him...
Like shit man... Nobody even got to move.. nobody. Dude killed himself for me. That neural feedback thing took 10 hp points off him. And that was enough after the mind storm.
The whole game was way easier than I remember it in Enemy Unknown.
Well, in enemy unknown i beat the boss in 1 turn on the hardest difficulty just by having 5 heavies with the plasma bomb thing and a guy with the psychic storm...
yea i love the new powers and shit, but it kind of threw off the balance of the game. I feel like they nailed it with the first remake, but they fucked up the balance when they tried to improve it.
I was shocked when the last boss of the game actually killed himself...
That was a first for me in gaming..
It only takes one double tap sniper to otk the uber ethereal.

My personal beef with X-COM: Enemy Unknown is the massive difficulty spike when they introduce those freaky bug thingies(Chryssalids, I think), first you're popping aliens in one shot and kicking all kinds of ass, next you're getting fucked in the ass by the Chryssalids are they turn every one of your men into zombies to fight you! Or maybe I just suck at it:)
This hurts.
The switching between perspectives elevates this to an awesome level. Looking forward to more of this.
