Yeah, must have been something special about him. For some reason it can pop up in my mind there's something missing in my viewing habits on yt. It's not on the nose or anything, just that I miss something, a certain style, a way of presentation. An integrity of sorts, not there, for some reason, and I start to wonder wth I'm even thinking about. And then I remember it's TotalBiscuit. It happens a few times every year, and personally I've just concluded that he really was a rare guy in the way he left such a deep felt impression. It can almost feel shallow to state online, about someone you never really knew, but his passing do tug on the heartstrings in a real way.

I still come back to this channel... the memories. TB is how I got into PC gaming man. If he passed at 200 it would've been too soon. RIP forever

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is releasing on 9th of September 2024... Thinking of your TB.

There are very few times where I think something is truly overrated. And by overrated I mean a piece of media that is an awful piece of art but valued incredibly highly. My favourite example is All Quiet on the Western Front (2022), a film considered equal or even greater than Saving Private Ryan when it is a film with even less substance than Now You See Me. Besides, for the most part, the visuals, those are great. But the writing is absolutely horrible and does not deserve to be rated as highly as it is. Overrated one might say. Would never use the term though, I would just describe how it is a bad piece of art and let the person come to their own conclusion.

19:34 I remember I showed a screenshot from just after you leave the train station in Half-Life 2 to my brother. He is an artist and he said that it is really well framed and, well, uses the rule of thirds. It is honestly a really cool moment artistically, people really should talk about framing and the rule of thirds in games, the developers sure do.

I watched a incredible God Hand compilation from a fella who'd played it for 10 years and it is so stylish, definitely worth a search. It was mind blowing! I have just gotten into Returnal and that has a similar risk reward system that gives it that one more play adrenaline buzz. We gamers must support these games for future releases. Take it from an old gamer who's first console was a NES. Games are really important, they craft memories and emotions. It's a amazing art is a great video game.

A great example of mass violence often being less effective than a death close to you use Saving Private Ryan. The beginning is oft said to be an incredible depiction of war and violence, it is. It is truly gruesome and awful. But, the hardest hitting death in the movie is when Wade has been shot up by the machine gun, he bleeds out on the ground while crying for his mother, with his fellow soldiers able to do nothing but attempt to sooth his pain with morphind.
