Rachel Wolfe yeah. I was concentrating so hard, and I heard his voice, and I thought nothing of it, like the show would go on like it always has. We humans are such fickle creatures in that regard.

Of course. But do always remember, that you can expand his legacy as well, and even form your own. Don't be afraid to do new things with the channel that you feel inspired to do. We all support you for who you are, not just who your husband is. I hope you're managing okay. We're all mourning John with you, and are rooting for you!
I saw the summer steam sales were on, so i went to TB's channel to see if he uploaded a buyers guide for it, then it hit me that he's no longer. It made me realize how much that one man really did for this community. I really miss him
Had the exact same thought and stark realization. It's incredible to see how Genna is keeping the podcast going. I will be very happy if she decides to pick up other content as well, though I will still miss hearing his voice while doing chores.
I absolutely dig hearing TB'S voice and seeing him in the opening. 👍 if you do change it in the future keep him in in the animation in some sort of way. Heck, make him the dungeon master looking over you guys or something, just dont cut him out! Thanks :)
I feel TB shouldn't be one of the "main characters" of the animation. He definitely needs a place in the intro though. I imagine an ending scene where the animated Jesse, Doogs (and Genna if she's going to be a host now?) characters pose in front of some mountain and on top of that mountain you can just barely see a top hat. The sun behind the mountain casts a huge shadow in the shape of the tophat (TB logo) over the characters.

I think everyone else has summed up what the intro makes us all feel, but I'd like to also say: The show must, and indeed is, going on! I think you are doing great taking the seat Genna, and the usual suspects... Well, they are suspect, as usual ;) Nice E3 summary, I missed out on basically all the E3 coverage so it was nice to catch up.
I really liked the two I watched, but I don't have time to watch all of them. I hope she doesn't take the lesser views on the later videos as a sign that we don't want her to make videos like that. Because I totally do, even if I can't watch all of them.
Marvin Kö thanks so much for your support. I had a lot of fun making them while co-streaming on Twitch. I have plans for improvements though, like enabling subtitles so that people can actually tell what the developers are saying while I’m snacking on them. Also, it’d be nice to have a co-host for those so I’d have someone to bounce off of.

i spent my school years getting kicked out of school and staying home playing wow and listening to different episodes of this podcast on repeat while leveling. im glad its still gonna continue. its more than just another podcast to me. its like comfort food or whatever you wanna call it. i grew up with this shit. and im gonna carry on growing up with this shit. fuck yea.

I was questioning if Genna could do this, but this podcast shows me that she can, and has her own good flare about it. I'm fully confident that she will be a good host, a person good at articulating opinion, and an entertainer. I am happy that this channel is continuing, because Genna is able and appropriate to continue it. Your awesome Genna! I've lost both a brother and a mother, and I am impressed how constructively you are handling your new life. I'm sure it is very hard at times, there always be moments, but it seems to me that your moving forward with much strength and power. Keep it up, and remember to be gentle with yourself from time to time.
Genna put them back on since she is running the channel now. Seeing her tweet about it crushed my soul tho... Basically saying "yeah, comments are back. Come at me, I have nothing left to lose anyway" I suggest we as a community behave way better than some did in the past that made TB turn off comments in the first place. I really appreciate Genna doing it tho. Having a consistant place to talk to fellow TB "fans" (followers, viewer etc) is really helpful for the grieving process, at least for me. Also god damn proud of Genna powering on and keeping this channel and his legacy alive!

I love that "prop hunt" in CS:GO was a thing like 5 years ago, and now Prey picked up the concept and presented it like something brand new. It does look fun though!
I heard TB's voice, waited until the ad finished and the intro started, paused the video and threw my headphones out of frustration, now i'm going out with my dog for a walk to try and calm down a little.
I had never seen or heard that square commercial before today, and I must say, I loved it. TB definately understood dogs! A leaf drops in the yard, the apocolypse is coming, must warn owners, bark at it. A jogger is in view. I barked at them, they ran away!(smugly struts back to owner) A neighbor kid threw a ball in my yard, how dare the ball be in my yard! I shall bark menecingly at the ball, that'll teach it! Probably the best square commercial ever.
I'm really happy to see you, Genna. It's inspirational to see you taking the reigns- and if anything good came out of everything that's happened; it's seeing you.
Now there would be some sense if the animated intro had Genna as well. I see Genna as a nurse with a lot of syringes, fighting a bear. And by "fighting" I mean "trying to inject him with syringes while a bear is running away, screaming." I also have ideas for some guests. Sinvicta can be a lord general from W40K, with chainsword in one hand and a pistol in another, fighting the Cthulhu. Mathas would be a magical girl (I mean, magical middle age man), but with a bigass sword, clashing against a jedi. Crendor would be a wizard, doing "you shall not pass" on a balrog, only a balrog is playing superbowl and trying to get past Crendor to score a point.
AbztraK Cristian used to do them, as well as made the art assets each week, edited the VOD, and did all of the podcast uploads to all the various platforms. I’m trying to do the work of three people, because we all had our role to play (myself, John and Cris). I won’t say it hasn’t been incredibly challenging.
To give some more information on Fallout 76, it has been in development for far longer than when Fallout 4 released. From the NoClip documentary, they intended on Fallout 4 having a multiplayer mode. Decided they didn't have the know how yet how to do it, so they just decided to keep working on it as a separate project.
Im glad the comments are being awesome. People love the show and the people in it. Nobody seems to shit on TB and that makes me really happy! I was scared it might happen once the comments are back on but thankfully it is not the case. :)
I'm so mad the people who took the time to harass TB to the point of him disabling comments, I feel they are in part responsible for his death. I didn't understand why he did it at first, and initially I was mad he couldn't take criticism in his comment section. But now I see it was just blatant toxicity which drove him to that decision, and I can never forgive those people responsible.
Everyone says that :D Just accept the critics, get a thick hide or get used to it.. but you can never do it.. I constantly delete comments that make me feel horrible. I understand TB 100%. People can be shit sometimes.
Starfals I’m glad they are on and people are enjoying them thus far. The majority of comment trolls that cased TB to turn off comments came in during the WTF is... series of videos. Mostly because people don’t like someone telling them the game they’ve already purchased or enjoyed immensely is subpar. There are few feelings better than to hear that your purchase decision has been vindicated by someone that you admire or whose opinion (up until that moment) you respected. Each of us have our faults as well as strengths. John’s strength was his integrity in his work, bending his opinion for no one, but you might also say that his unyielding statements were at times a weakness as they could alienate members of his fanbase. His true fault was thinking that if he closed his eyes and put his fingers in his ears that criticism against him would magically disappear. Losing touch with his fanbase and forbidding all criticism (even constructive) led to a disconnect that I am hoping to repair. Make no mistake, I have no intention to pander, but to weigh what I believed to be his standards, married with my own opinion and allow the community to comment freely through constructive criticism here on the channel. We all need a beacon, and I choose the consumer without which I would have no career and this channel would cease to be. ❤️ Genna
It is kind of surreal, when you think about it. I have been following these guys on CZcams and Twitch for about a grand total of 11 years now. And in that time they have all grown as people, Jesse has matured, Dodger has started her own family, TB moved to a different country to be with his family and then did battle with cancer for good four years. And all this seems to me like it happened so fast. The passage of time is scary.
I never leave comments, but this time I hope Genna Bain knows that she doesn't grieve alone. We all lost a friend that day, and even if he never knew our names, he lives on in our hearts.
Thing about Anthem was that they didn't give any information, it ws just more corridored jetpack flying, with some spectacle shooter gunplay, very boring. The take-away was less interest than the little we had before.
Sunny Lovett I feel that I was (strangely enough) looking forward to a more shooter esc (destiny with wings) kinda vibe And I know that’s also kinda dumb but idk I was hoping for more gunplay and instance variety. (And to be honest I wanted them to surpass my 3rd person destiny expectations)
As uncomfortable as it was to listen to and sad, I think the idea is to retain a piece of him in his own show to live after being gone. Audio, words left behind would live on, enduring to remind what he was and not slowely be pushed away, left alone because it's too difficult to look at. He lives as memories now and while it's hard to deal with at first, this is everything he was passionate about and wanted, here or not, he wouldn't have wanted what he stood for to be forgotten and would have leaped at the chance to become immortalised in some fashion.
I think there's an opportunity if they ever redo the cooptional podcast animated to have TB there as a ghostly obi wan Jedi figure behind the new cast as like the team leader.
Cozy what if he is on a mountain or in the clouds throwing his top hat to Genna? This would be symbolizing the passing of the torch. Keeps his memory alive and an animated Genna Buscuit catching the hat and striking a Mario like pose would be awesome. Ooo and then Jesse, Dodger, baby Doogs, and Crendor all run in beside her in support and comradery.

I heard TB's voice, waited until the ad finished and the intro started, paused the video and threw my headphones out of frustration, now i'm going out with my dog for a walk to try and calm down a little.

TB's voice should be the default introduction voice for Square Space. They should never get rid of it.
I had never seen or heard that square commercial before today, and I must say, I loved it. TB definately understood dogs! A leaf drops in the yard, the apocolypse is coming, must warn owners, bark at it. A jogger is in view. I barked at them, they ran away!(smugly struts back to owner) A neighbor kid threw a ball in my yard, how dare the ball be in my yard! I shall bark menecingly at the ball, that'll teach it! Probably the best square commercial ever.

I see Genna as a nurse with a lot of syringes, fighting a bear. And by "fighting" I mean "trying to inject him with syringes while a bear is running away, screaming."
I also have ideas for some guests. Sinvicta can be a lord general from W40K, with chainsword in one hand and a pistol in another, fighting the Cthulhu. Mathas would be a magical girl (I mean, magical middle age man), but with a bigass sword, clashing against a jedi. Crendor would be a wizard, doing "you shall not pass" on a balrog, only a balrog is playing superbowl and trying to get past Crendor to score a point.

AbztraK Cristian used to do them, as well as made the art assets each week, edited the VOD, and did all of the podcast uploads to all the various platforms. I’m trying to do the work of three people, because we all had our role to play (myself, John and Cris). I won’t say it hasn’t been incredibly challenging.

To give some more information on Fallout 76, it has been in development for far longer than when Fallout 4 released. From the NoClip documentary, they intended on Fallout 4 having a multiplayer mode. Decided they didn't have the know how yet how to do it, so they just decided to keep working on it as a separate project.

Im glad the comments are being awesome. People love the show and the people in it. Nobody seems to shit on TB and that makes me really happy! I was scared it might happen once the comments are back on but thankfully it is not the case. :)
I'm so mad the people who took the time to harass TB to the point of him disabling comments, I feel they are in part responsible for his death. I didn't understand why he did it at first, and initially I was mad he couldn't take criticism in his comment section. But now I see it was just blatant toxicity which drove him to that decision, and I can never forgive those people responsible.
Everyone says that :D Just accept the critics, get a thick hide or get used to it.. but you can never do it.. I constantly delete comments that make me feel horrible. I understand TB 100%. People can be shit sometimes.
Starfals I’m glad they are on and people are enjoying them thus far. The majority of comment trolls that cased TB to turn off comments came in during the WTF is... series of videos. Mostly because people don’t like someone telling them the game they’ve already purchased or enjoyed immensely is subpar. There are few feelings better than to hear that your purchase decision has been vindicated by someone that you admire or whose opinion (up until that moment) you respected. Each of us have our faults as well as strengths. John’s strength was his integrity in his work, bending his opinion for no one, but you might also say that his unyielding statements were at times a weakness as they could alienate members of his fanbase. His true fault was thinking that if he closed his eyes and put his fingers in his ears that criticism against him would magically disappear. Losing touch with his fanbase and forbidding all criticism (even constructive) led to a disconnect that I am hoping to repair. Make no mistake, I have no intention to pander, but to weigh what I believed to be his standards, married with my own opinion and allow the community to comment freely through constructive criticism here on the channel. We all need a beacon, and I choose the consumer without which I would have no career and this channel would cease to be. ❤️ Genna

It feels weird, but I'm glad the podcast continues.
It is kind of surreal, when you think about it. I have been following these guys on CZcams and Twitch for about a grand total of 11 years now. And in that time they have all grown as people, Jesse has matured, Dodger has started her own family, TB moved to a different country to be with his family and then did battle with cancer for good four years. And all this seems to me like it happened so fast.
The passage of time is scary.
I never leave comments, but this time I hope Genna Bain knows that she doesn't grieve alone. We all lost a friend that day, and even if he never knew our names, he lives on in our hearts.
Genna is doing SUCH a good job keeping this going.
Do not ever remove John from the intro. He's a necessity.

Thing about Anthem was that they didn't give any information, it ws just more corridored jetpack flying, with some spectacle shooter gunplay, very boring. The take-away was less interest than the little we had before.

As uncomfortable as it was to listen to and sad, I think the idea is to retain a piece of him in his own show to live after being gone. Audio, words left behind would live on, enduring to remind what he was and not slowely be pushed away, left alone because it's too difficult to look at. He lives as memories now and while it's hard to deal with at first, this is everything he was passionate about and wanted, here or not, he wouldn't have wanted what he stood for to be forgotten and would have leaped at the chance to become immortalised in some fashion.

I think there's an opportunity if they ever redo the cooptional podcast animated to have TB there as a ghostly obi wan Jedi figure behind the new cast as like the team leader.
Cozy what if he is on a mountain or in the clouds throwing his top hat to Genna? This would be symbolizing the passing of the torch. Keeps his memory alive and an animated Genna Buscuit catching the hat and striking a Mario like pose would be awesome. Ooo and then Jesse, Dodger, baby Doogs, and Crendor all run in beside her in support and comradery.
For any other situation that would be really disrespectful but it does seem like the kind of thing TB would find nice.
Genna, without knowing anything else about the game hanging and stabbing could be a reference to Odin.
