Marlon had a really nice voice at this age too. Motown should have let him sing the lead on some of the slow songs like this one. Michael and Marlon could have alternated during concerts and that would have given Michael's voice a rest while Marlon was singing. Also, I hope they incorporated Jackie's songs during concerts. His record was good too even though it doesn't seem like it was promoted much.
This is a good point. Marlon had such a good voice at this age ,it was hard to differentiate them when doing this one until I looked up their live shows of the song. And yes, Jackie really should've had his solo album from Motown promoted more. He could've made it as something big in the 70s if they weren't already focusing on Michael and Jermaine at the time.
@@yesteryear1969 In an interview, Tito said that he was in the process of making his solo album when J5 parted ways with Motown. As a result, the album was scrapped. He has an album out now and it sounds great. I would have liked to hear him singing when he was younger.
@saxyvi As we know Tito, he had the bass voice that can be heard on some songs throughout the J5 tenure. I know he has a normal singing voice, but his bass voice really does sell for a lot of vocal leads if he had a solo album at Motown. It's interesting on what would've been.
