Mr. Mac, hi omg! I was one of your students from Pathways (after school program). Just had to show love you are a huge part of the reason I’m in music production now so thank you!
Hey, thanks for watching my video! And thanks for your comment, it means a lot. I wish you success with your music!
Stems are coming back in April 😁💪🏽
Are they really?
@@LifeOfLelo-Lz yup
@@bboymac84 where did you see this?
Are u shure?
@@rodri_mondragon yup April 10th
As of Tuesday stems are back!
Wow, I don't use stems that often and using Serato DJ and Virtual DJ with Tidal is cool for those songs you just do not have in the crates, records or digital. I usually chop things up in the Roland VS1824 long process to filter but works. Waiting to see what is next for 2024 for software technology.
I just get pissed off when monopolized industries stifle innovation. Lawsuit pending
Stems are back on VDJ latest upgrade
Yea, I'm a new-ish (3yrs) DJ and I wish I would have known about this sooner. I'm kinda upset...not going to lie... However, one of my focuses during the past year has been moving away from streaming services for DJ purposes. As you mentioned, you can't record sets from streaming tracks, it also takes ages to load Serato if you have a lot of crates on a streaming service, and if the internet isn't great where one is DJing one is SOL.
Yea if you are going to be taking on more serious workload and higher stacks gigs I would definitelyhave your core music and stems on a t7 drive!
Quick audio question: did your input change to the camera's microohone during your presence shots (when we see you speaking)? The audio didn't seem to go through your Shure mic.
Don't update Serato. If you have, uninstall then update from archive versions before the latest
Where i get the old version? I update to 3.1.1...i was in 3.0.6 i think
@@Furgodj Serato DJ Download Archive. It's on the same page as the main download.
Just scroll down, click the link. All previous versions available to download.
I’m tight.
I have no Issues could still use Tidal with stems in Serato
theres a program called Stem this tool with that it unlocks any mp3 and turns it into a Stem
note it can take 8 to 12 mins unlock them it would take you forever to do this
Djay Algoriddum still let’s you use Tidal stems. I was using it yesterday.
Not anymore😢
Whoa you’re right! I just tried it.
Deezer it is…. For now. It’s an over seas company.
@@Tales_From_The_Crypto neural mix still works for me on iOS?
They gave offline locker though.
Not the end of the world
Correction… 3:30 stems are Groups of tracks!
@bboymac84 You are kinda correct but the word 'Stem' refers to the individual tracks that were originally recorded. So technically, the are aren't 'groups' but typically its a singular instrument or voice.👍🏿
@@ltjplanet no stems refers to groups not. Like drum stem is the group of drum sounds. Kick, snare, hat, claps…
@@bboymac84 I think in terms of DJ's that maybe be accurate(DJ's and producers) but in the recording process(I'm a long time producer/engineer), 'stems' is a term used to describe separate instument during a recording session. (Drums are possibly the only instrument that isn't completely sub-divided for re-mixing, may vocals too)I've recorded MANY projects in different genres in different studios and the meaning of 'stems' has been exactly the same. DJ's got the terminology from the recording engineers. Peace
@@ltjplanet true but if that were the case we’d have more that four tracks to mute in Serato. Stems are groups of tracks that make one song
What do we do now?
Just don’t update
You're saying it doesn't work with deezer anymore?
VDJ has the tidal locker now.
It's work for deezer I'm use it now
Stems work with Deezer.
Why would they do that???
Don't update Serato 3.1.1
Who the bell uses Tidal?? Why would you pay for a service that doesn’t provide DJ friendly edits? Leave tidal alone and sign up to digital record pools
Streaming is a big deal for the modern DJ, most DJs (including myself) use several record pools and streaming services.
Thanks for watching and the feedback.
I’m a “modern DJ” booked every weekend. I NEVER have the need for tidal. If ever someone wants a song that I don’t have, I log in to one of my various pools and I can pull the song up, which is a DJ friendly intro and outro. Why spend money on tidal that doesn’t give you Intro/outro edits?
