I finished my hirevue interview 2days ago and I'm so grateful and patiently waiting for emirates group response and I believe GOD is there before me in each and every step of my cabin crew journey. GOD WILLING, I'll be part of the team and my prayer is to be a a living testimony of the world and to make my Grandma, my kids, partner who's been there for me always and lastly the BRAVE WOMAN in me. Idk if you'll see my comment but I'm glad to see a black cabin crew.
I went for their open day in Leeds and the lady there literally told all the black people to leave.
It still hurts though.
Hopefully one day, I may be one as well.

Honestly, I have no idea how long does the process take now and how are they going to do it cause a lot has changed. But keep in mind Anything Is Possible. So go for it and give it your best❤

Question: After receiving your confirmation/congratulations letter to start your training in Dubai, does Emirates pay for your work visa and flight from SA to Dubai or one of them? Do they fetch from the airport to your place of residence?
Yes they do everything for you. Visa and send you the flight ticket. Then when you get to Dubai the fetch you from arrivals

It does not really matter, as long your hair does not hide your face. Just make sure you tie it nicely in a bun at the back
Most be trained before you can be employed, because some people says that you most go to a training school.

I didn't take professional photos, I just submitted the ones I took using my phone.
The check your weight and height according to your BMI tgen decide if it's ok or not

I heard you saying they asked about tattoos on open day,are tattoos not allowed ?
Even if you have them it's fine as long as they not visible when you wearing uniform. For example on your neck, or arms for ladies cause we wear short sleeve shirt or on your legs.
Do they hold assessment days/recruit in South Africa every year? I'm currently not ready with my paper work at the moment and would like to apply next year (2024), or do they hold recruitment days every few odd years on SA?

your video has been very helpful. I would just like to find out how much the training cost you? An estimate would be helpful
Training is free here, cause you get trained after being hired. But if you planning to apply for a job on one of the domestic airlines then you have to do a short course in one of the Aviation school to get a flying license. Not sure how much does it cost now, but back then in 2014 it was around R18k to R20k

I did put a lil bit of make up, and I had weave on at that time so I just tied them in a bun at the back.

No I didn't have, I only got it after training when I got here.

No you don’t hun, as long you have your high school certificate (Grade 12)

Hi Dineo, I just wanted to know if the requirements on height are really strict? I'm 158 and I know the minimum is 160, what about knowing how to swim?
On the assessment day they normal have a line on the wall, where you have to stand and reach that line. If you don't, they allow you to stand on your toes. If you can't reach still then you don't go through. So I would advice you to apply still, I'm sure you will be fine.

do you have a certificate related to being a flight attendant??
No I didn't have but Emirates train you and you get the license here, however in South Africa you are required to have the license before you can apply.

You need to apply online, just google Emirates group careers and click on the link. You will get all the information you might need there.

Dreadlocks are allowed, you don't have to take them out.

They honestly don't have to be perfect, as long they clean and ok. Yes you have to send a photo where you are smiling.

Yes, as long it is not the thick ones.

Hi thank you so much for this. Do you think it’s possible for me to continue with my studies via Unisa or any South African university that offers long distance learning while working for the Emirates cabin crew considering the fact that the working hours are unusual and it is a strenuous and demanding job?
Yes It is possible, I did manage to finish my degree through UNISA while working but it was not easy. Please watch my video that I have posted last month explaining how I got it. You will understand the struggles I went through while studying but it was worth it at the end.

I used my leave days for exams. Sometimes I would fly on days off or try and get a CPT flight so that I can write same day when I land or the day after before I leave cause a layover is only 24hrs. The company does not accommodate for studies. It's your own responsibility to make it work

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I had time to study on my days off. You just have to give your self time to rest and time to study

Depends where you from. you don't have to go to an interview in Dubai. They do come to a lot of countries for recruitment, if they don't come to your country then you should go to the nearest destination for you.
