The Light and the Dark - a Star Wars fan film (2015)

This started out as a simple effects test, but evolved into a complete short film. I made this in about a week, all by myself (no help with camera operating, effects, choreography or anything). Most of it is shot in my living room.
This is my first Star Wars fan film since the Lightsaber Choreography Competion V winning film Minor Threat - Lightsaber duel in 2007, and is also released around the time of the tenth anniversary of The Clash - Lightsaber duel.
I hope you enjoy this little film!

That was very good, very cinematic. You kind of look like Luke Skywalker and remind of the outfit from Return of the Jedi. Excellent film!
this is one of the best visualizations of inner conflicts in star wars I've seen so far. just like in ESB, but made by a fan. I like it though you could work better with saber FX

How did you get away with ussing the legit star wars soundtrack?
Which editing software did you use?
This was edited in Adobe Premiere CC, with the effects done in After Effects CS5.5.
I'm not sure I understood the plot, and the Yoda intro was hard to hear. I liked the fast choreography, but you could have used it a bit more and made the video longer. Maybe when you make the next one.

The reason why the fight is so short is because I only had one night to shoot it (some equipment was borrowed and had to be returned the next morning), I did it all by myself, and the lighting equipment made my living room insanely hot.
I'm sorry the Yoda intro was hard to hear. It's easy to miss such things when sitting in the mix with headphones on.
As for the plot, well, you either understand it or you don't I suppose. Just remember the Cave from The Empire Strikes Back ;)
