Who are your USMNT starting 11 for Copa America?
4-2-3-1: turner, scally/richards/CCV/jedi, Cardoso/McKennie, Weah/Gio/CP, Balo up top. Adams isn't fully fit so he's a sub. If you don't like McKennie as one of the 6s use Musah. Emir sub on the right, LDT as a 6 when you need a cool head, Vazquez because he's been hot and we may need a target man so this gives us a different look, Sargent is injured, Malik as the Gio sub, Zendejas also gives us a different look should GB want to switch the formation, Horvath is the late sub if it goes to pens.
Pepi>Balogun
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Defense: Robinson (LB), Richards (LCB), Carter-Vickers (RCB), Weah (RB)
Double Pivot: Musah (LDM), Mckennie (RDM)
Attacking Mids: Pulisic (LM), Reyna (CAM), Wright (RM)
Forward: Balogun (ST)
Stu's lineup is so fun, which means there is no way we see anything close to that.

I also like stu's better but I would change out I think Gio is better as a sub so I would start Wright and FB up top and CP in the middle. I think if the game needs it were wright or FB aren't able to create the runs for Cp to pass or get in the box himself then you can put gio in the center and push Cp up. if that still doesn't work you still have Pepi and Josh maybe bring something. The problem with his line up is if he doesn't preform we really don't have a central attacking midfielder to replace him. CP doesn't play as well when he more in a central position. unless you dropped cp and Wright back and play more a 2 1 where cp and wright play as wringers. that would just put more pressure on Adams and mckeeny to push the ball forward.

Alexi is a great personality and a world class defender. But when it comes to picking a lineup, I'm going with Stu. 😁
I like Stu’s better too, but I think you gotta have Musah in the starting 11.

I like Stu. I believe that's the best formation for our current personal. Also good for plug and play with our best subs
I like Stu's 11 simply because I can see Gio picking apart any defense as a 10.

I like stu's lineup, seems like a variation of a 4-3-3 with richards as a rb, puli on the left, weah on the right and jedi pushing forward while in possesion
I know hes young n probably gotta earn a starting spot but malik tillman should def be getting some time as a sub. Hes had a much better season than most of the mids they named

With adams out with injury for so long not putting johnny in is the only issue i have with stu's lineup
I might give Adams the first half and Johnny the rest of the game. Especially for the first two matches to see how things go for both of them.
I wouldn't start adams, Cardoso should start and work Adams minutes up over the course of the tournament. We really should take it carefully with Tyler.
I want to see Berhalter evolve - want to see anything that gets consistent service to the forward position near the goal

Ricardo Pepi has been the best striker for the US for a couple years now. Balogun has just not performed at the same level. Haji had one good game. Sargent, who knows how he’ll perform.
I'm not sure what Sargeant ankle status will be. But I think you have to give it to haji and pepi first, as they have performed for us...balogun hasn't and Sargeant hasn't had the chance yet but I'd put him in third pecking behind haji and pepi. Bring sarg in later as a sub. Sorry balogun you had your chances
Haji Wright should be leading that front line. From what I've seen he's quite direct and effective.
Johnny needs to start. He’s consistent and has played enough to not be rusty
He’s proven himself for club, but not for country yet so a start hasn’t been earned. But he should get solid minutes in the first few games. See if he can stand out. I think he’s proven himself to be above Musah for sure.
@@timmyj2366 unless he gets minutes it’s hard to prove yourself. It’s one of my issues with aaronson. He puts in hard work but it’s hard to quantify what exactly it is end product wise that he’s bringing to the table. But no matter how bad he looks for his club he is one of GB favorites
Stu’s lineup is good formation, replace Balogun with Haji and maybe Adams with Cardoso
I’m intrigued by both. I think that Alexi’s is the least disruptive to how the USMNT already plays but I’d pull Musah & put Gio as CAM and play Sargent or Haji as the other winger in that formation. (I’d also still start Ream for some of the matches)
However, I’d like to see this team also consider Stu’s 3-5-2…
Where’s Haji Wright? He’s earned my trust over Balogun and Sargent.
Also after finishing the video that's why I think stu is awesome. Because he went off script and he's actually putting a team out there that I think it actually do some damage.
I really like the two striker look I think we should have been running that for a while now especially after Reyna coming into his own at the attacking midfield position.
Stu line up is literally Inzaghi current Inter Milan but switch the CDM to a AM
I like Stu’s line up. I’m so sick of Greg’s ineffective 4-3-3 that somehow brings the worst out of our players.
People need to start recognizing Johnny. With Adams reoccurring injuries, and Johnny playing great in la liga, it only a matter of time before it’s his to lose
Stu's lineup is better in terms of balance and defensive coverage.
I agree with Stu this lineup is very fluid and flexible. But I would change Ream with either Yieldin Zimmerman or Robinson for Speed and Flexibility. But have more defenders on the bench because eventually they will get tired for covering spaces. But we should have the ball more tho because of this line up. Let me know what y’all think too 👍🏾
One thing i would change is move Jedi to the back to help defend and have Dest with the 4 midfielders. Because Jedi does not look to score

Stu’s is good, I do think that trusty over CCV, so he can play LCB in a three would be better. This protects ream from getting exposed in the channels and still maintains the passing angles with left foot. I think Alexis’s is almost perfect but it should be a diamond. 4 back and gio, Adam’s, musah, McKennie in a diamond, with puli and balo ahead

I really like Stu's, and don't hate Alexi's, but how does neither of them account for the fact that Reyna isn't fully match fit?
Who is their sub for Reyna, there is zero chance he is fit to go 90 minutes for three+ games in a row. Who subs for him? De La Torre? Musah? Good players, but they're different. Whole system probably needs to change.
You can tell that Lalas went to Rutgers!
Hybrid between the two: 4-3-3 with Turner..Robinson..Richards...CCV...Weah...Adams...McKennie...Gio...Pulisic...Sargent...Wright. Wright deserves to the be on the field given his past performances for club & country and he actually has been playing a lot of left wing for Coventry. That moves CP10 to the right side where he has thrived for Milan.
All the pundents are crazy starting Tayler.. dude is always injured, why risk that, he can come in just for a bit but to start is crazy

4-2-3-1 the U.S. men should be playing, definitely haji wright for strength and you just have to give scally the opportunity. Be quiet and watch the i.q. of scally.
I don’t think Stu’s is perfect but it is much better.
Stu has the better line-up but be real, GGG will never do either of those. Shaq Moore at RB in a 4-3-3 with Gio on the bench is what we will probably look like.

This is the first time in my lifetime that our goalkeeper is our worst player. Usually our Keeper is the best player on the team, Howard/Keller/Friedel. Too bad Gaga Slonena was a bust, stuck with turner for now

I'm going to be real with you watching this reminds me of just how out of touch Alexi is.
Some of his stuff makes sense but to me Adams hasn't played enough so I don't see how you can justify starting him. The other two are fine.
And I'm not putting Sergeant on any starting 11 if I don't have to. Haji wright has done better. Flo it's still somebody that I would put at the number nine just for no other reason than his ability to get the ball in the net it's not that I hate Sargent, I'm one of those guys that never really thought he was somebody that I would have even brought to the world cup. I'm just not convinced on him and I'm not going to pretend to be.
I know that'll get some frowns in this but that's just how I feel like haji wright in my opinion is a much better number nine flo is a much better number nine.

To be humbled you need to think you are better than your opponent. If Panama or Bolivia defeat us then yes that would be humbling but a loss to Uraguay and either Colombia or Brazil wouldn’t be, it would simply be what we expect.
Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador would cry tears of joy if they had a team like ours .. We have more European players than all of them combined 🇺🇸
