    RCS19 master cylinder makes a big difference to braking feel and power, nearly went over the bars first ride out after changing master cylinder and pads at the same time. 👍👍

    It’s free!! Pull the ABS fuse, done deal! -Mostly track riding.

    Yeah I did the brembo pads and the problem was solved. No track riding, just street.

    I will be changing mine in the next week or so. Going to the brembo sintered pads. (Red Ones)
    Im hoping to have a great improvement. If it’s not at where I require them. I’ll be upgrading to the R1 MC. Currently waiting install but will do pads first, then decide.

      I’m sure if you have standard pads in now you’ll be quite happy with the brembo pads!

    I'm surprised more people don't mention the brake pads first. From a background of racing cars, different brake pads make all the difference

      @@theaustralianconundrum I’d bet any money that I know more than you and how vehicle manufacturers operate. Your negative comments are wasted here… bro. Maybe go look in the mirror, figure some anger issues out and try find someone who show you some love because damn you need it. Sad little dude.

    Hi Mike, the way I will be riding, the brakes will probably be just fine for me.

    If you ride like this in this video, is the fuel economy then still bad?

    • @BikeLikeMike92
      @BikeLikeMike92  Před rokem

      It’s not as bad. But it’s still worse than a lot of other bikes! With the exception of the Tuono… they might be just as bad as these 😂

    My understanding is they ARE "good" just not great. IF pads actually made the brakes a lot better then why would Yamaha allow all the mediocre reviews for the sake of pennies? Also my understanding is braided lines help ZERO until the OE rubber lines are fatigued after a couple years or thousands of miles ...anyway without measurable data I cant accept that pads make a huge difference cause it makes no sense. I am trying to get a deal on the very expensive 2023 MT10SP right now which does have steel braided lines AND I read all new MT10s DO have Brembo Masters. I seriously doubt braking is going to be a downside....might lack that subjective hard edged "feel" but then I read most superbike brakes today also share similar natured woodish woe due to ABS interference

      Sorry dude but it sounds like you have no idea what you are saying. Pads make no difference? Come on 😂 they make a huge difference! Try it before you just comment you can’t accept something as it doesn’t make sense. You’ll see

      @@BikeLikeMike92 I never said they make "no difference" did you read my reply? I am only guestioning the idea they are not good enough. I am sure for crazy A level RACING there is big gains to be had but like race tires THOSE pads dont even start working right until they are hot, But whatever dude if someone is really riding in the STREET hard enough for it to make a real difference? In actual stopping distance just with pad upgrade? WITHOUT tearing up their cheap OEM rotors? I'd just like to see the DATA on that .....what do they call it skid pad testing or something? timed from certain speed to dead stop ...now as for subjsective "feel" I wont say that is not a real thing but maybe not such a valuable thing in overall ability to get through the twisties fast It's like Exhaust slip ons where someone spends a ton of cash and they are all "dude this bike is SOO much faster with this!" and the you read the dyno results and no it did jack shit maybe 2 horse power wound to redline ...i am just skeptical is all People do crazy crap with their street bikes like running track SLICKS! Tires that cost a lot and only do 200 miles and they are shot For the twisties? That is INSANE! Without tire warmers most of the tire life is probably used up getting them to temp! Racing brake pads with stock (soft material) rotors? Profably similar returns and economy but whatever
