That CTSV is truly well-built and is in beast mode. It is def making more than 900HP and the real number to look at is the TQ numbers. I wonder what the TQ number is. The Merc was well put together as well, but as it has always been said, there is always someone faster.

@@mongoose406No definitely not slow and it's a beautiful car but that's a lot of horsepower and $$ in mods to be in the 5's still. That being said, if you are running in the mid 5's you're pretty damn fast for most of what's on the street.
That SC is something special on that CTS-V and that is more than 2 cars.

I always hear maps and etc, but what does maps mean I ain’t familiar to builds I’m still learning
@michaelencinas7855 they are saved files of tunes that can be switched. Example would be a tune for 93 octane and another file/map tune on E85 fuel. A car can have multiple maps depending on what the person wants.

I think the OP is right. Fully built engine and trans verse bolt on Merc - big difference. The trans and engine is stock on the Mercedes - has a much smaller V8 and is using 19” wheels - more street spec. The Caddy is in another league above. It’s a good win, but no glory to the Caddy though as it had more power and torque too.

@@mongoose406my dude that caddy has a built engine, built transmission and e85 with all the supporting mods. Now the c63 is on upgraded turbos with e50 and engine is not even built and i think he is pushing around 820whp and that caddy is 900whp plus and he clearly said that 900 was on a low reading dyno. But that Mercedes did damn good and those turbos will kick in on top end. Those AMG engines can handle close to 1000whp with stock internals

It would definitely take a build to catch this CTSV but gonna have a hard time getting past it.
There are 7 and 8 second Caddys out there when fully built.

Not even close. I'd say low 5. I ran a 5th Gen ZL1, 2650, fully built, built transmission, E60 and meth, 950-1000whp and runs a best of 5.2 I believe
@@freak_5.042That 5th gen you ran was slow as heck then, or had inflated dyno numbers, wasn't hooking, or must be a manual trans with a driver who doesn't know how to shift very well. I have a 6th gen ZL1 10 speed auto making just over 900whp with a 2650, meth, fbo, and cam running 4.50s 60-130. I was running 5.20s at around 800whp.
I also have a few other fast cars that I'm doing work to.

I trap over 150mph and I make less power than that 5th gen. Anyone who knows these cars will tell you something isn't right with a 1000whp fully built 2650 automatic 5th gen running 5.20s 60-130 and only trapping 145mph in the 1/4.
This is laughable and proves that car isn't making 950-1000whp. He either went to a high reading dyno, or you're lying about the numbers because it doesn't add up to the performance numbers you're giving me.
@@freak_5.042 OH and btw I run 4.50s 60-130 during the summer months. DA usually around 2200ish in Florida with high humidity. These big blower cars eat with meth and E85 in warm weather.
