Chileeee, my ancestors got Jamaican Rice and Peas, Oxtails, cabbage and plantains! 😋😋😋
It all started when Papa Legba passed through and asked me to make an offering of Candy. I got him the Snicker bar AND a plate of food ❤❤❤

Thank you for the guidance! If I had any skepticism or hesitance its gone lol. Literally as soon you said "send me a sign" I heard a crash from my sons room. He had knocked down his box of markers off of a shelf. When I looked up from it the first thing that I noticed was a large sign my wife had hung which has his first name and then his middle name in bigger and bold letters (I remember when she first made the sign I thought it was a little silly to have the middle name larger and centered😂😂😂) Anyways, Our middle names are Lamar. Coincidentally, the furthest I've been able to trace my African American ancestors back to is the 1860's in an area listed as Lamar County Alabama. I came back to restart the video and looked at the time which just happened to be 3:13. My deceased father was raised in Detroit (313) where his family had been since the 40's. I'm a little shook lol 🖤

I'm a norse pagan just getting into ancestor veneration and it's very inspiring to see people of all backgrounds returning to the faith. Everyone on earth was pagan and animist at one time and it's great to see you getting the word out. Reincarnation was also once the universally understood afterlife, from the place my ancestors came from to the place your ancestors came from. Ancient humans understood the truth, it's only the modern secular society that rejects those truths. Good on you, keep making these videos and spreading the word

I would think that everyone has had some ancestors that were not good people, so going by that i would also think that a person should be a little cautious of those even though we can learn from all of our ancestors we must also be a little careful.
I would love to directly communicate with my ancestors just to know where I came from long ago and get some advice on things maybe even help some of them, but the only communication that I notice is o other people or guides that i never see but i know are there I can feel them that also dont seem to speak with me maybe I am not listening correctly lol

Those dna test don’t tell you what tribe you come from.. every dark skin person is gonna be told that they are from Africa but can’t tell you who your connected to in America word to the wise is to do your genealogy and then you’ll know who your ancestors are and where they come from 9/10 if you are “black American” you either have Indian blood only or you have Indian blood European blood and maybe african blood but we welcome all our ancestors to be apart of our lives ! I love the video !

I leave my offering for 3 days. Remove the plate and put the remains in my vegetable garden.

Refill with hot, steaming food and cold water, or rum, whichever is available.
Place it on their altar. Call them. Chat with them a little. Then, come back 3 hours later to ask them if they enjoyed it 😂😂😂

Your husband is not your ancestor. Your ancestors are people you have descended from. You are connected to them through blood. They are your deceased relatives, parents, grandparents, great grandparents and those before them. Your late husband is not your ancestor but yes, you can communicate with him.

I'm currently reading a book called Badass Ancestors by Patti Wigington. One of the things she talks about is "problem ancestors" - those who you know/discover that had problematic behaviors/lifestyles. For example, Patti learned that some of her ancestors kept slaves. She's also learned some of her ancestors fought to liberate slaves. I haven't finished the book yet - but everything I've read so far has been very informative and I'm so grateful I found her book.

Ancestors change when not tied to the physical realm… however if you have a difficult relationship with any of them, you don’t have to put them on your altar.
You *can do work to repair your relationship with them, but you don’t have to.
Personally I am just more interested in my female ancestors *for the most part*
The number of ancestors you have is almost infinite so focus on the ones you most want to focus on!
