But the bullshittery and chaos in the internet after the match is just as fun as it was in the AFF.

    Thanks for for covering AFF Cup. SE Asia football may not be the best but is highly entertaining and passionate. I have been following AFF Cup since late 2000s especially when Philippines was doing well. Now Philippines is in low point and is on slow rebuilding stage. Vietnam has done really well representing SE Asia football the past few years. Thailand is always competitive and fun to watch. I just love the heated banter among the fans during AFF Cup.

    Park's run with Vietnamese National team is undeniably great, too bad we didn't have a good end. I've seen people saying that Park's strategy has been well researched by this point so we had a harder time winning the stronger teams.
    Let's hope the next coach will turn over a new leaf to the team.

    • @johncarter4956
      @johncarter4956 Před rokem +1

      I mean. It wasn't hard to breakthrough a roadblock tactic if your player knew how to control, pass, and keeping the ball away from defensive team like Vietnam. Especially since Vietnamese defense are not really that strong. They rely on fouls, charge, bias referee and injuring other players. Something that Saudi Arabia and Malaysia experienced in a hard way. By having a VAR or having a good ball control, Vietnam will die like they did in WC Qualifier. And now that their coach is gone and the current team has no trustworthy replacement, they'll be down for a long time.

    I saw on Reddit that the tournament was going on. I just saw some goals and who won but nothing more. Having a review from a Vietnamese is great because it allows us to discover more tournaments. Also, interesting to see that Internet wars over football is an international thing. Neither side holds back and I wish it will never go beyond that because violence is nasty.
    I'm French with Comoran origins. Just like you, besides my country of birth, I also support a lot my country of origin. We had our moment last year during the AFCON and we reached the second round, beating Ghana 2-3 during a crazy game but losing to the hosts Cameroon 2-1, which angered me a lot and I barely slept that night but the following day, it was better. My country has also a lot of issues such as corruption, violence and witchcraft (I saw it with my own eyes). We're also in the process of rebuilding and we all hope to do better at the AFCON.
    As for Vietnam, I don't know much but I wish you can win the Asian Cup and even qualify for the World Cup. A Comoros vs Vietnam in the USA would be a game I wouldn't miss. Or France vs USA, Who knows?

The rise and fall of the Ireland national team (looking at the highs of euro 88 and Italia 90, the Saipan incident in 2002 and the slow decline til today), match fixing and corruption within the league of Ireland and the football association, or the rise and fall and rise again of cork city fc (we’ve just been promoted back to the top flight and we’ve a new owner you could look at how we got relegated and out time in the 90s-2010s)
    If you do decide to go with any of these please learn the pronunciations of place names, teams and people. I can help provide phonetic spellings for your script if you’d like!
