Problem is that she hasnt really done anything. Star Wars brand is the way her boss wants it to be. She was never formally accused or blamed for any wrong doing by anyone aside from Gina Carano, so this literally the 1st time KK is in any form or trouble.

First amendment only protects government employees not private. This case will be about labor discrimination and defamation. Regardless of the law, Disney overstepped during covid assuming no one would fight back.
Carano's biggest mistake? Taking this trial to a California court. Should've done what Johnny Depp did and taken it to a Virginia court.
If justice is served, Disney will probably find just the right judge to appeal against the decision to and hey presto, it all disappears.
No there are different laws in California, that work in a sense best for Gina from what I have heard. Which Disney may have not been aware of and are in favor for Gina.
Amber Heard's defamation was published in the Washington Post, meaning that Virginia was a proper venue. Carano's lawsuit involves her employment with a company based in San Fransisco and her work was done in California. I don't think she had a choice in the venue.
Yup. This case is not about free speech or contracts. Every state has different labor laws, and California has laws protecting political dissidents due to McCarthyism. Also, it's just morally wrong to bully people, but covid made everyone forget that.
They'll settle out of court so all their laundry will still be kept under wraps. IMHO

I would like to see KK fired, but honestly until it happens, titles such as this one are click bait. They give fans false hope that something will happen and that SW will become better, which is not happening. When fans are actually leaving the franchise because of the views Disney has on what is considered Star Wars.
