I think most of the time they want to do something about it but the laws are complicated, and everything takes a long time on that level. The rules need to be followed, and the bad people unfortunately use it to their advantage because they know how to find the tiny holes in the law to make what they're doing legal.

I almost naively exchanged a small amount of money at one of these kiosks when I visited Praha in 2011. Fortunately, I was able to figure out with my phone that the rates they offered were a complete scam and found more fair service at one of the exchange offices in the city.

Have you ever considered setting up a place for tourists to go for information as soon as they arrive so you can inform them of all the scams there?...Love your channel.

I will have to put Prague on my tourist list . Love how you have kept your heritage buildings. Well done on shifting the grime out of the crevices of the city
It's kind of normal all throughout Europe not to tear buildings down needlessly, actually. Prague is also lucky that it didn't get bombed too heavily during WW2; many other historical cities in Europe, (typically, London and Berlin) were not that lucky. You can still see Prague was also affected - the Old Town Hall (yes, the one with the famous astronomical clock) is truncated on one side because it got hit during the war, and there's one 15th century church with a 20th century section, for the same reason.
You forgot to mention the grass growing next to the Dancing House, love locks gone, and Lime Scooters out of the water. Keep doing great things!

These guys are cool exposing scams in their city and working to improve the infrastructure and environment for tourists and natives alike of the city. I wish I could do something like this in my city but in America confrontations with people in public are a little more fraught with danger just because the scams are often run by larger more violent gangs.

Thanks for doing what you're going. I went to Prague 3 years ago and was really shocked by how tourists were scammed at every street corner, it was so obvious I really felt unwelcomed and cheated. That was my worst European experience as a tourist. I hope local business and authorities understand that on the long run this will be a losing strategy for the city. ATM were the most wide-spread scam around the city - only use international bank branches to withdraw local currencies!
I don't really understand this. Is it an american thing? I don't trust anyone I don't know, doesn't matter if Im on vacation or not. Google is at your fingertips these days, no need to ask strangers.
